Does anyone have examples of 3d cel shaded anime done particularly well? The times I've noticed it (perhaps the reason why I noticed it) was because the fluidity of animation seemed off. I can think of two cases in the current season:
Kiss x Sis: the dancing in the ED, the girls look great as stills, but in motion seem more like marionettes. Chibi Gundam 3 Kingdoms has the same effect, but since they're robots it looks fine.
Idol Lilpri: The standard dance scene. Opposite problem- the motion was too smooth making it look creepy and unnatural.
Edit: Maybe once it becomes more common it won't seem weird. Indeed it's not like traditional anime style drawing is particualrly natural looking, I'm just accustomed to it, so what I'm noticing is not so much a problem as simple contrast.
