    Spoilers ahead:

    In the newest chapter, Mashiro and Takagi's editors urge them to create "serious comedy," meaning they include some ridiculous situations but play them off as dramatic, like an otter driving into a building to get revenge on the company. This way they appeal to a wider audience: some like it for how dramatic it is, and some like it for how hilarious it is.

    I was just thinking; maybe the same thing was going on with Death Note? I'm sure they didn't think the potato chip scene could be taken seriously. That would make Light proud; they were STILL ahead of us the whole time!

    :P Anyways, no I don't think so and the potato chip scene was serious but unexplained how he put that telly there without opening the bag.
