Also if you're interested, they're selling Hare Hare Yukai Vinyl records in the Bandai store:

You can't play it without an old-timey record player, but they make a neat collector's item.

  2. Awesome! Though not too surprising. Hope it hits theaters around here. Perfect for an outing with a group.

Cool record. I'd get it since it's relatively cheap and makes for a great display item.

  4. If I lived anywhere (close) to any of the screenings, subbed version, I would attend.

But (alas) I am not. :(

I may purchase that collectors item Vinyl 45, just because its a throw back to my time, when I used to play 45's all the time on a actual (needle) record player.

Glad to have helped. :) I'm still thinking if I should get just one or two.

I'm pretty sad about it too. T_T
Only thing I can think of is making a petition or send a lot of emails.
I'm not sure how to begin with it or if it would be effective.

Regarding the record, since a "needle" is used, do they scratch easily?

    =====

    Back in the day...

Yes, many records would get "scratched", so great care would be taken, always after playing them, I returned them to the sleeves it came in.

However, (sometimes) they can be fixed, by using a sewing needle itself, going along the grooves of the record, (warning) ~ it was tricky and didn't always work.

I also used a magnifying glass, looking for the section that was scratched or warped, then use the technique in order to fix it.

Also, NEVER leave it near anything hot... because it will warp and be unrepairable.

  11. got the record. sounds amazing. highly recommended for audiophiles, in the broad sense. thought i'd mention that bandai found the kindness in its heart to also send me some FREEE haruhi merch: SOS armband and the signature haruhi yellow ribbon. it was a neat package and only cost 10 bucks. i'm happy.

  12. Popping in to say that I happen to own that Haruhi LP myself (I need a player for it, though...), and you locals to West Coast US are lucky - it's an excellent film, and I was overjoyed when I got to see it in Tokyo.

  13. I saw the mazui-sub. the bootleg one. I still loved it. The ending is powerful. Are there more light novels? I heard they were starting up again.

Was the "Haruhi-chan" mini-series any good?

A proper reason for me to fly over to the US. Except my wallet slaps me in the face. Not that it packs much weight.

  20. so much for anonymity,... some of the posts gave away their proximity to the outlet.

    o.o*

fyi,... since I'm flunky that works for target, if you're in the continential US of Aeee,...
Target has available a Turntable/CD player in the store right now, or you can get it online.

But, if you're an audiophile, you probably already have a decent turntable (not used for DJ work of course).

The one at target is "marginal" at best. But should do the job if you're a commoner with a stash of 33's & 45's somewhere in your abode.

btw - uh would anyone be interested in an LP of the OST of the Empire Strikes Back, the first release in the all black double album?
