    Posting images here would not be spamming in most cases (though I don't know about Archer).

    For example, had Sifian included images of the games he mentioned, that would be a very effective way of making his point.

    this is a pretty good answer. 2d is just cleaner, expressions can be drawn that don't exist in real life as well as clothes, hair styles, personalities....all of these things make the 2d world a lot more appealing....i have watched pictures and AV's and except for the ocasional nicely done picture or shot it tends to not interest me.... bellow i post 2 examples, the first being of a 3d picture that was actually appealing and the second of a 2d image that encompases things the real world cannot. while the point could be made that if one were truly dedicated one could achieve the lcothes/style of the 2 picture, the element of "moe" cannot be transfered to real life, except in the ultra rare picture such as the example.

    This pretty much hits the nail on the head.

    Also, most of the populations idea of sexy, does not fit our idea of sexy, so it's hard to find those ideas in porn, where as in 2D, where a lot of people with similar ideas dwell, the fetish's can live.
    Remembering that even though on the internet our numbers seem to be legion, we are still in the minority.

    in my case Cute > sexy. sexy just means she's trying ot sell herself while cute is more in the lines of the character being herself and not trying to sell herself. while sexy does appear in anime it tends to focus on older women that look like those in real life wich is boring.

    I think sexy is more what's arousing.
    It's not something you can actively do, but it's an emotion that can be actively instilled.
    So you can try and look sexy, and fail horribly, just as you can be perfectly normal and end up being unbelievably arousing.
    Works in exactly the same way as cute does.

    It just happens that a lot of cute images, such as your second image, are cute, and sexy. I.E it's moe and arousing.

    i believe moe is the key element here. while'st moe can't really be described, or at least i can't, it is something that appears when certain elements are put together, such as say, a miniskirt kimono with glasses and kneesocks along with a character that you already like to create an image that is extremely appealing just because of combination of elements. it is also possible for it to appear in very simple images that only have few elements but because the cuteness factor in the image is extremely high it becomes moe.....

    I don't think moe has to have any properties apart from that of moeness to be moe.
    Wikipe has something to say on this matter, but it doesn't feel right.

    we can't just paste every image in our folders though, we need prime examples of moe and non moe....hers one...i think
