Russiankaku Complex

  1. While browsing a large Swedish forum I was linked to a site containing THIS WEIRD CREATURE. After reading it through, I continued clicking on the "related posts" links below...

The site is amazing! It contains tons of image posts concerning Russian and Soviet weirdness and exotic and amazing occurances. It is kind of akin to Sankaku Complex, I think, main differences being the quality level of the text and the focus of interest.

Also, it looks like I found a russian meme and an elaborate way of saying "you're gay".

First mad scientist who created the two headed dogs reminds me of the dude with the mask in Blade of the Immortal (the one with women heads grafted onto his shoulder)

    Science sure is evil.
But it's worth the sake for the Humanity that we live in.

  6. Oh, and no.9 Kevin Warwick. I actually attended one of his talks on robotics at the National Science Centre in Malaysia. I don't think he should be on the mad scientist list though.

No joke! All those semi-related articles at the bottom has held me there for hours! In the first two hours, every article I read made me open two or more new tabs.

i was wondering the same thing!!

Can’t see circle 5: Possible latent homosexuality. Can be light uncontrolled accesses of attraction to the same sex.

    Great.

    I think I'm gay.
According to Russia's psychological views. =/

.. I don't like the sound of that. *reviews the test*

  12. Its not much of a surprise. I remember Artefact posting somewhere that SanCon and all blogs borrow the same concepts; that there isn't a totally original one. It makes sense, for the reason of the Russian blog being much older then SanCon yet share similarities.

It does appear to be a quality site for weird Russian info. We definitely need to find more blogs like it.

I was going to point that out but my knowledge of aquatic animals is limited. I was just going to say I've seen those things before and they aren't rare or prehistoric.

The dog which lived through a pumpsystem was just horrible.
Those scientists really should be punished back then...

It actually looks like a trilobite (an ancient arthropod - same phylum as insects). I had to draw some as coursework before, but never liked them, they look so similar to cockroaches...

I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to. Everything in that pic looks like a color-blindness test, it which case if it's not a troll in the first place, number 5 may be a negative test- i.e. you can see the number only if you are colorblind. I have a friend who's colorblind so I'll show it off to him to see if he can spot anything.

  20. I mean, as the OP suggested, the point is to try to make the hapless reader seem like he has latent homosexual tendencies. There are similar tricks like this that I'm vaguely reminded of but I can't think of any by name at the moment.

Similar to the tale of the Emperor's New Clothes, perhaps?
