I would save them, but I would survive.
but if really given no other choice, then I'd leave them behind, I'd rather live the rest of my life than throw it away doing something noble.
Though I really depends on the person, the situation, and my mood .

Depending on the circumstances, I would probably sacrifice myself to save my friends/family. I see myself as wasting my life and so I may as well die to let someone else live who isn't wasting theirs
I would have to be the hero as I would not be able to to live with myself.
I'd try to survive saving them.
But if I am going to die I'll make those who threatened my friends and family see demons.
