I will save the other person and being the awesome person I am I'll save my self myself as well.
How about if you have to save your love interest or ten doctors who would you choose to save?

Generally, I will help anyone who I see needs help, be it friend or stranger. Often leads to complications but I guess thats how I am. I just can't leave someone there to die unless there are very very strong circumstances forcing me to leave

It's one life or many.logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.
Also depends on whats happening, if a virus has broken out and only these 10 doctors can come up with a cure for mankind then they would come first.

Saving someone at the cost of my life? Yeah, right, if you are not strong enough to look after yourself then just die there, that's a very basic rule of survival of the most fit. If it was someone close to me? The same answer. Being like that I wouldn't accept someone to help me even if I most likely die, that meant that I was not good enough.

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned both dying yet. That seems like the most comfortable situation to me. I mean, living on with a gross number of people around you dying, probably many you loved among them, would be quite an ordeal.

Hmmm for me, I would probably try and help my friends and the people closest to me, even if it ment my demise, I don't think I would have the guts to live with myself if I just abandoned them and left them to die.
