Btw, if you're an amateur author, consider heading over to the Hangout Thread. We've got this sort of RP thing going.
And ^this guy is really good at writing :3

"I don't understand this concept at all."
In order to relate, you'd likely need to be a hopeless virgin loser otaku with zero chances of being able to interact with normal ordinary breathing human girls.
So I would suggest you consider it a GOOD thing you don't understand :)

You're making me blush. ^^;
They should have an official contest where the winner becomes the boyfriend. The ensuing bloodshed should be interesting.
This always makes me laugh. You're going to bent out of shape over the virtue of a Fictional Character??
Imagine this scene in my 'other world' (full of 3-d Naked Playboy models). Playmate Elisa Bridges died 2/7/02 (she was Miss Dec 94)- her death and what she represented as a Playmate (being that she was All Natural) set off a swell of pride & mourning for "The All Natural" Playboy model that led to a bunch of random guys getting together and forming a 'League' of nations (Each had their own Fan club for an All Natural Model on Yahoo) to support and trade stories about PM's they met, knew, hated ect.
YET!- when a PM goes 'Rogue' and did Penthouse, Porn, Got Mariied, came out as Lesbian? - there was fan murmur and some got pissed but no one really 'cared' as these were real people and they had "lives" outside of Playboy. They were 'real people'- so fans just focused on the Good Ole days (or whatever).
2-D Obsessed fans are FREAKY! - You're getting bent out of shape over a 2-D character getting a Boyfriend? I've seen sweet innocent 19 year olds start out 'sweet & normal' then in 3 years get implants, surgery, and masterbate with shit and they wonder why I'm not "into them anymore"....But I'm still a fan.
3-D fans can actually touch and interact with their 3-D waifus (I have! My Fav is getting married this May in fact) YET 2-D fans can't....Oh fuck, I'll just let it out- I'm Mugi-chans Boyfriend. I did her on her Father's ship- that's where I was all those weeks. There's even a Sex Tape here's a vid-cap- lol. Let the Insanity begin- lol.
I'm more angry about Miharu from B Gata H Kei having a boyfriend!

I don't understand this concept at all. They are characters so having more story to them than what is on screen is a good thing to me. I always want to know more about the characters I like and having things that doesn't feel right always annoys me. The fact that none of the girls from the show really did anything relationship wise before now really broke my suspension of disbelief. People date at that age and for a group of cute girls not to have any relationships is just not normal and it makes it hard for me to like a group of characters with such obvious problems.Maybe it's just because I dabble in amateur writing but characters who aren't developed in a realistic manner for the media are hard to deal with for me. (I know my grammar is bad, the dude who does my editing gets on me all the time for it. Thinks I should learn how grammar works or something :3 )
While realistic characters can be a good thing, they just don't fit in with moeblob series like K-on (the biggest reason is because realistic girls aren't moe). Besides, anime and manga are known for having unrealistic characters (and those unrealistic characters are one of the reasons why so many people like anime and manga).
Personally I think it makes sense that none of these girls have had boyfriends when you think about their everyday life. For one thing, most girls date guys that they go to school with. These girls go to an all girl high school (and are planning on going to an all girl college) which means that they don't get to interact with boys at school (and from what I've heard, people that go to single gender schools have a lower desire to date than people who got to co-ed schools). Plus a lot of their free time (which could be used to meet boys) is spent on club activities, hanging out with each other (which isn't much different from club activities except that this can also include Ui and Nodoka), and just relaxing at their homes. Not to mention that they all have character traits that would get in the way of actively pursuing relationships (you could take those traits away to make them more realistic but then that would make the characters and the series less moe).
Honestly, I hate to say it but its the highly possessive trait that all otakus possess that's rearing up its ugly head again. You know its true just that no one wants to say it because we are all otakus to some extent here

I so what them to have boyfriends, soooo much.Just so I won't need to hear of the usual 'she's my waifu' fucking crap.
Nope she's got a real man, she isn't interested in you.

Just because - YOU - don't have a 2D enjoyment doesn't mean you have to bash those who have WAIFU's...
Waifu's ARE RESPECTED HERE!
I am PROUD to state that I have a waifu that stirs my soul and physical being in oh so many ways....
Concerning the issue at hand...
I don't think it really matters, if she has one or not.
I wouldn't consider her used goods, just because she has/had/a BF, that *just* makes her more experienced and mature imo.
Some (not all) will have to realize that the Character(s) they/we Love so much will have to grow in some form or another, and that they are (also) beloved in some way or fashion by fellow admirers.
What matters is that ~ YOU ~ (the admirer) holds true to their/your Love verses changing it every time a new Character comes around, as one would do in changing clothes each day.
Losers.
I've jacked off to almost every decently drawn anime girl worth mention in all likelihood.
I've likely fucked half the waifu's here, and the other half prefer to suck me off.
Your wiafus are all casual sluts and we know it.
Hey wanna see some pics of your waifu naked?

No need, as I already know how she looks... and I am fully aware that she is depicted everywhere and in all states of sexual position.
So, if this was an attempt (by you) to get me riled up because of my devotion to her... sorry YOU LOST!
That type of thing doesn't bother me.
But it seems YOU always have an issue and well... its a ~ personal one.
Granted, we all respect your blantent comments concerning us ~ "losers".. but in all reality, it seems that - YOU - never wish to fully admit yours and that you in fact are ~ just like us.
You just stated ~

and?
So have I... your point?
Well Mr. Sukunai, at least we wouldn't cheat on our partner with our mothers :) Also your name "Sukunai" means incest.
Just sayin~
And how old is she? 70? Or has she passed away? Either way, creepy...

I just realized this actually. If you persist to be 'faithful' to your waifu for about ~ 2-3 years after the anime ended, you might actually have a chance to be the sole person liking her the most in the entire world. Or maybe within a small handful of less than 15 people. That's just kinda....mind-blowing
The new K-On chapter is translated now. This would be the one with Ritsu's supposed boyfriend. >.> It sort of made of facepalm... anyway, here's a link

So I was just told that 2ch is going nuts over this page of the recent K-on manga:
http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/306/ritsushocker.jpgThe claim is that Ritsu has a boyfriend, echoing the "used goods" Kannagi-gate '08.
If anyone can provide a translation for the rest of us, much obliged.
But you know what's strange; despite the "otaku's outrage", the anime still remains quite marketable:
Anyone recall these:
