    Fun fact: The Tsar Bomba was only operating at ~50% of it's maximum (max. being ~100 Mt). Just imagine what would've happened if it had been at full power... It'd have split the Earth in two o_o

    I assume that you've only ever heard of pure fission bombs like the one that hit Nagasaki. Bombs like the Tsar Bomba are multi-staged fusion-boosted fission bombs ("über nukes" xD). Their yields can dwarf that of pure fission bombs and boosted fission bombs that lack aditional stages.

    We can make bombs more powerful than even the Tsar Bomba... I doubt anyone's going to anytime soon though.
