Nah, I didn't die. I went and did stuff. My question was answered. It really was a simple one. And in regards to the comment, I was referencing the comment on the CNN one stating that US is #1 in porn, without sourcing that so many of the raters plussed, and the comment stating that US was #4, WITH sourcing, that so many ppl minused. And as to the people that gave this post the time of day, those are the people I really even care to talk to. Honest question, honest answers, progress. Sorry if I write too much, but I attempt to communicate myself as well as possible.

They do actually cite their sourcing. Gotta say again, I'm not taking sides on if porn's BAD (I'm watching some now), just that the logic on there's epic fail. Apparently it's troll, so I'll just dismiss it now. The actual point of this thread was to get feedback on if everybody here's seriously like that, or if it was just trolls. I can handle trolls. If the place were just that epically ignorant, I'd have to just ignore any other persons on this site altogether.

I think it's a very biased and stereotypical view of Sankaku, or otaku in general. Not once have we bashed American TV and called it inferior to Japanese shows. And not all of us are in support of every wacky Japanese aspect.
I know for one that quite a few users here prefer legal women to loli. Many despise scat and guro, and many more dislike plotless, badly animated works featuring big eyed, big breasted girls with short skirts. The stereotypical image of anime.
I'm not saying that people don't watch it all the same, I myself am guilty of marathoning Vampire and Rosario, but we don't claim it's superior to shows of any other specific origin.
I'm quite a fan of the Mentalist, Bones and The Big Bang Theory among other shows. And I'd much rather watch any of those over Queen's Blade anyday.
