Ratings systems are always bullshit. The only people who get good ratings are ones whose posts contain no real opinion. Because with opinions, there is inevitably people who disagree with said opinion. With short witticisms or catch-phrases however, you offend nobody and therefore have a higher chance of getting rated up from a higher percentage of people. It's just like politics!

I've notice many people don't even read posts. For example, a post mentioning "loli" would get put into 1 of 2 disjoint categories: "good for loli" and "bad for loli".
Content that is filed under "bad for loli" receives instant berating by parties that have considered the negative side of such subjects as much as "feminazis" and "Agnes Chan" have considered the positive side.
