What do women talk about when men are not around?

  1. In high school during math class, I happened to listen into part of a conversation from three girls talking about how their boyfriends got them a dildo for their birthday and went into a discussion on sex. I turned around with a WTF look on my face to make sure I wasn't hearing things, and I wasn't hearing things.

  2. At some point in my life, I had naturally assumed that a majority of conversation between females remain unchanged, regardless of whether a man is within earshot of their topics of importance. I have no idea if this is true as I have never eavesdropped on a conversation that falls outside of what I normally hear.

    ...What?

  3. I don't ease drop much and try not to hang out with normal people so I can't comment on this much.

I just know that the females I hang out with are usually the type that love to talk about Tank Girl and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. Most are ether too mature, too boyish or too unpopular to speed gossip. (though I have occasionally seen one or two of them doing that still)

  4. I don't eavesdrop either, but when they're talking out loud and you're sitting right in front of them, then it's kinda difficult not to.

I know of some who are aware if a male is within earshot and if they tell me it's girl stuff, I respect their wishes and don't bother trying to listen.

When this thread had only jsut been created, I thought it would be 50% boys sepculating about what girls talk about among themselves and 50% girls telling us that it's not true.

But it seems girls really do talk like that. It's yuck. D:

  6. I once overheard a conversation where girls paired me with some other guys and wondered which one suited me better. Felt kind of weird listening to that.
And yes, I eavesdropped. It is a bad hobby, but you learn a lot about other people that way.

I thought conversation-agenda-setting was one of the purposes of the news? You make it sound like it's a bad thing.

  9. none of it is bad
it's just part of my eternal plight to show that men and women are the same.
    they do the same things
talk about the same things. just different interests

I've only done this when females are present. Their attendance is the dividing line between such dialogue being funny or incredibly awkward.

Not really I don't talk about anything like that with my friends, nor does any woman I know. Those conversational topics are more closely linked with teens, young adults, and americans. No females belonging to these groups can be thought of as being a woman.

edit. ah, I talk about some of them.

  12. this reminded me of a pretty nasty experience

when I was 14-15 or around there, I had to go to school on a public bus every morning at around 6-7. There would always be this group of girls who got on the bus before me and go on incessantly everyday FOR THE ENTIRE FUCKING BUS RIDE about boobs/boys/nudity and the likes.

It must be horrible as I have it repressed for a long time. Hearing stuff like this as a 14-15 year old kid lacking sleep every single fucking weekday is traumatizing let me tell you

  19. Is this thread looking for an answer or just speculation? because you won't find any answers lolz, just depends on interests and hobbies or whatever people talk about.

  20. I never realized we always go to the bathroom in pairs until I read that list on Sankaku. o.O

It's sort of a habit thing? I'd just mention I'm going to the bathroom and my friend would just say "I'll come with you". Or she says she's going to the bathroom and asks if I would come along.

Mostly we just continue whatever conversation we were having. It sounds like some evil scheming girl thing to go to the bathroom in pairs and bitch about others, but we really don't. Because you never know who's in the stalls.....
