I'm not really sure why everyone says it was confusing though. They spent plenty of time on the roof explaining everything.

I find it amusing that there is basically an article which states that Angel Beats was horrible, and one where you can clearly see that the author enjoyed it. When I read both of them in succession at first, I was like (ö_Ö) until I noticed that Quen wrote the second one.
Personally, I can't say that I disliked it, although it didn't fulfill my expectations and the animation was weak. It depends on how the storyline will turn out.

Hmm, I liked it! the setting is pretty fucking cool if you ask me. I like the mood a lot, it's weird and nostalgic. The setup is very imaginative, with the purgatory boarding school, angels, the "war front"... it's a matter of how well they can build the characters and plot from there. I have moderately high expectations for this.
The only bad thing was the main girl, obvious palette swap of Haruhi. But that can change. (well, and that TK guy was also annoying)
I didn't notice the things the first main page article nitpicked on, about animation and bad art.Posted 5 years ago # -
