  4. who cares about what you think of the episode?

    I see no point in making a thread about it if you hated it

    and it's the first episode so it's probably gonna get better

  9. Said it had horrible drawing skills ALL over it, it still does, that hasn't changed.

    Stomached watching a second time juuuuust to make sure. Yep the art is indeed low quality.

    WTF are we to choose interesting story and crappy drawn anime, or no fucking story, but drop yer shorts cause it's boner time anime.

    This ep was very poorly drawn, but the story is at least not bad.

    Stuff like Ladies vs Butlers, no bloody story, but ok if you just want to jack off.

  11. Ok, since I HAVE seen it... and I enjoyed it...

    Let me counter some things...(not that it will matter to some of you)

    ====

    Yuri ~

    I like this Character (from the get go) and maybe the reason is ~ is because she is so - Haruhi-esque - to being with.

    Yes, many similarities are obvious, the arm band, the similar Brigade mention, and her BEING IN CHARGE of the Group.

    Then again, how do we know that the animators didn't do this intentionally as a parody? After all ~ Haruhi ~ is in control of another (parallel) world, as this character is ~ so think about that option/possibilty.

    =====

    The first screens/scenes involving the weapon ~

    This seems to have been a contention for some, as it was mentioned that the her hands are wrong, or are two complete right hands...

    In the image that was initially shown, it appears that her hands are (both) right ones...

    This is wrong... after a few seconds from the initial image placed.... this is what is seen...

    ====

    NOTICE that she has (both) hands and that they are different...meaning (opposing).. they are just drawn peculiar for some unknown reason.

    Upon further display of the scene....

    I noticed that her fingers are elongated (including the thumbs)... again is this the way the character is? or is it a flaw (or) just the animators style?

    Taking into consideration that they (the Characters) are DEAD, would that mean that they could be (different) in some way? (that hasn't been fully explained yet?) ~ Who knows, (again) its pure speculation on my part.

    Here is another image with her fingers, and different hand positions on the weapon guard.

    Hand clinched....

    Hand open and flat... (again) hands ARE CORRECT and are NOT two right hands.

    So, she does compensate for the design of the weapon she has.

    What I did notice - was that her finger (trigger finger) is resting on the trigger guard.

    This is Characteristic to displaying professionalism, because NOT MANY DO THIS, and its placed as such for safety reasons. (meaning) ~ at the ready.

    ====

    She is also (observing) her target, which may explain her body posture, because she does (reposition) herself briefly.

    I did wonder ~ why ~ she is using a Bipod - (which in reality would be more stable) - if it was placed (either) in the crook of the arm, or placed on the area where the Bipod pads rested, thus giving her a smaller profile against a background.

    But, I am still under the impression that she was ~ JUST ~ observing and was using the benefit of the Bipod in order to swing along her LoS and FoF.

    But that's just me being (picky)...

    ====

    Story/Plot ~

    It has yet to be developed, so I will hold my opinion on this until it further progresses into the storyline itself, and see it in its entirety.

    ====

    BGM ~

    This animu had GREAT BGM from what I heard... I liked it.

    ====

    Flaws ~

    Yes, there are flaws, as the hands being reversed, when she placed them on her hips, but they were not as annoying nor did I notice it when it first aired.

    I will not judge this animu (yet) until I see that the quality/animation flaws are continuous and present within each episode.

    After all THIS IS/WAS the first Episode.

    I personally enjoyed this animu, I do not like male Characters, as my interest/preference lays with females who are bad-arse, hold a strength, and that they can take care of themselves accordingly.

    I don't get it, is it because her finger is so long?

  13. Yes she does have good trigger discipline, but the way she holds the rifle is akward. Its not sholdered right and her offhand Looks like she's carresing the carrying handle.
    That's an ugly drawn Intervention too.

    ====

    If you notice on some (POLICE/MILITARY) programs, that many of the individual who handle weapons during practice, training mode, ALWAYS have their fingers in such a position.

    Meaning - "AT THE READY"... the trigger finger is placed NOT on the trigger, but resting on the trigger guard UNTIL they are ready to fire.

    this is indicative to Police Officers, Military, and other professionals that handle and use a pistol, rifle, and SMG.

    Reference/Sauce:

    ~ and by my own experience.

    Yes, I agree...

    I wonder why she was placed in that position, but I think that she was just observing, thus why she looks odd, as she did repos one time during her conversation.

    (edit) ~

    Then again, I think the animator was more focused on the weapon, and left the/her position to be more than desired in accuracy.

    He should have used an actual model for representation placement.

  16. Ok who here OTHER than myself has fired REAL military long arms?

    I am trained on the FNC1A1 semi automatic rifle. Has a kick like a mule. 7.62 nato round of the 70s.

    Comparing the magazine width of the weapon she is firing, it is most likely a long round, not at all anything in the 5.56 zone. it WILL kick and hard.

    Fired in anything like that angle, the weapon breaks her collar bone and the scope skull fucks her eye out of the series.

    But I don't recognize the weapon. Looks like some imaginary heavy round sniper rifle. I highly doubt she has the body mass to avoid being thrown on her back.

    Only thing right on that image, is the trigger discipline. Interesting that a small school girl would be that skilled, and yet unable to recognize her physical shortcomings.

    I bet the animation for this anime was outsourced to some 3rd world country like Philippines.

  18. Sukunai, the rifle is a shitty drawn Cheytac Intervention, chambered in .408.

    DUH!

    I have Sir, or have YOU forgotten? (as usual)

    As I stated, in my posting, that I believe (and this is my observation)... that she was observing...

    The weapon in question seems to be a smaller sniper rifle, or a hybrid.

    also remember....

    ~ that she is dead, so whatever powers ~ they have beheld ~ belongs to that character, and she also stated that they can not die, unless - UNLESS - (erased) by Angel.

    So, she may very well ~ handle the firing ~ of such weapon, but it was not seen how it actually fires, what it fires, or what actual effect it will have had on her.
