1/3 through chapter 9 of FFXIII I got to a point where There was no point in fighting any more. By that I mean my stats were at the max allowable and that is where I find I hate this game.
What the fuck Squeenix. What happened to the good old days where grinding gave you a leg up. now it just lets you reach your current limit which in no way allows you to overwhelm your opponent (even if it does allow you to lean overwhelm) and at a certain point makes every other fight completely pointless.
I really hope they go back to classic leveling for FF XV because this is bullshit.
I never thought I would hate a Final Fantasy as much as I did IV until I played XIII.

A bit late, but as a Juri mainer who's still playing to this day, I need to respond to this in case that wasn't sarcasm.
ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY NOT. I've had a helluvalot easier time using Ryu online than I do Juri. The only reason I survived fighting a few disproportionately high-ranked players is the fact that they are not familiar with her mechanics(as a gameplay choice, Juri is not popular at all, so the general tactics against her that are independant of player behavior has not yet developed as much as the top-tiers).

IV is awesome in comparison now.Endure a little more... in chapter 11 it becomes open-world, full of quests, almost-unbeatable enemies (unless you use cheap tricks) and every cyharacter can level up in all paradigms...
trust me, if you want grinding and stuff to do, you'll have it...
if only the game became this open on chapter 4 or 5 people would've hated it less

Sazh, however, is the more realistic character of the cast. he has a REAL reason to fight, and later on a true reason to be desperate. For a comic relief, his story gets really depressive and actually shows that he is indeed the only adult in the team
Lightning is Squall with boobs. Gunblade, part of a specially trained military group, stubborn and in an eternal bad mood
Fang exists to give Vanille fans another fetish. She goes legal loli with sazh, shota with hope and lez with fang (she DO check dat ass anyway)

Finally made it to the halfway point in FF XIII. This is what the game should have been from the very beginning or so you think until you realize that the first half of the game has left you PATHETICALLY underpowered and underpaid for the situation you're tossed into. 7 straight hours of grinding weapons, items and experience and I still can't get past these fucking behemoths! The only reason I'm not completely insane right now is thanks to some really good bud.
^_^ Gotta love anything you can hit twice and be good for 3 hours+
