  1. She's not going to stop even if I tell her that.

It also doesn't help everything she draws is all animu-like. :V

  2. NO MAKE HER!

ALSO TELL HER THAT ANIME IS A CARTOON AND SHOULD BE REFERRED TO AS SUCH!

SHE'S HURTING THE EARTH WITH HER IGNORANCE!

THIS STUFF IS REALLY IMPORTANT YOU KNOW!

  4. It's better be a independent comic book artist... and work in a graphic novel... and focus in the draw... there are many people with the "revolutionary plot"

Agreed, a comic/manga/what ever you want to call it can have the most irrelevant plot and still sell like hotcakes if the art is pleasurble to the eyes. It's a service for your fans, after all~

  6. Hey, quick question here guys.

I still harbor dreams of making manga style comics, but how about you?

No real goal to this question really, I'm just curious about my fellow sankakuans all the sudden.

    Indeed indeed.

The only thing that really matters is if it'll sell.

    Although...

...You could liken customers to pray animals and yourself to a predator seeking to use them as a source of "food"(money). If you do then you may realize you need to factor in other predators in your area and adjust your feeding grounds to theirs accordingly, or find entirely fresh fields filled with unexploited pray.

By this logic your location is suddenly important again.

You can dream to do anything you like. We just jumped all over this guy because he expects it to sell. big. I'd like to draw some day, but it's on my 'long list' of things to do, way behind fluency in Japanese and learning the electric bass.

  11. you can make any dream true but with..

    - A good original plan to do it
    - Not depends of others (like miracle producers or the shonen jump lol)

Indeed. I believe pursuing dreams is a nice thing, but don't get too ahead of yourself. I would rather get a PhD first, then master Japanese and study fluid mechanics before working on manga (not in that order)

Ooooor you could manipulate your dream to play off skills you DO have.

It's not impossible, and it'll make the result much more fascinating than if you had approached it normally. ^ ^

Still though, skill is knowledge and knowledge is key.

It's not just about practice you know, you should analyze your work and think how you can improve that drawing.

When you say practice, do you work on something then let people look at it for criticism?
