  1. I was hella surprised to find it as an Amazon recommendation in my email today.
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0035CMJI6/ref=pe_57730_14501200_pe_vfe_t8

Did a little research and found that I'm just a little behind the time, as it was apparently announced in January.
    http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-01-15/kanokon-anime-listed-by-media-blasters

It's a little expensive though. Even if each disc is knocked down to $22, I have a lot of other backlog anime I want in hardcopy that's closer to $40/12ep.

I wonder if it'll be legal to sell in Canada? (given that loli is explicitly illegal and doesn't need to pass the "obscene" qualifier)

Well they did license Queen's Blade so I guess they'll license anything.

  3. QB was less of a surprise given the amount of stir it caused. It really seemed like they were riding on that cliche of "There's no such thing as bad publicity."

Kanokon, on the other hand, doesn't have nearly as much 'wtf?!' surrounding it.

I suppose it is worth mentioning to those less in the know that Media Blasters does a whole lot of hentai publishing... I'm expecting the Kanokon dub to be absolutely terrible. They also published Futari Ecchi, which is another title I can't decide whether to classify as hentai or ecchi.

  8. Media Blasters are willing pick up the more risque Otaku shows like Ikkitousen. I'm sure they would've wanted to release Bund uncensored without issue, if King Funi hadn't got to it first.

I've always considered it hentai. Even with all the helpful info that it provides, it still has sex in nearly every chapter (I think there was maybe 1 or 2 chapters that didn't have sex).

    Wait wut?

Dokuro-chan is one of the few anime that I never expected to receive a dub (I never expected it to get licensed either). IMO Dokuro-chan is a series that just can't work well in english and I would expect the quality of it's dub to be equivalent to dubbed hentai. Did anyone even want a dub for Dokuro-chan (besides dubfags that refuse to watch subs)?

I hope they don't call her Dokuro-chan in the dub. I can't stand when dubs use honorifics, it makes the actors sound like weeaboos.

I don't mind FLCL (probably because when I first watched it I wasn't too familiar with honorifics) and I've never watched tenjo tenge. I know the Ouran dub uses words like sempai and -chan so I hope this doesn't become a trend.

I don't see why people make a fuss over a dub. All discs are will likely be dual audio anyway.Don't like the dubs, listen to the Japanese track. It's that simple.
The ones you call "dubfags" happen to be a large majority. Even If I don't listen to dubs, they allow anime to have more accessibility to others,i.e regular people.

Because they're wasting money on a dub that has little chance of turning out good when they could be using that money to license more anime or make better quality dubs for their other anime.

    Can you prove this?

Do you really think that regular people are going to want to watch Dokuro-chan (regardless of what language it's in)?
