My summary of the entire anime 2010 season

  1. Wait a sec

The biggest VA surprise I had recently was that Hysterica, from dance in the Vampire Bund, was voiced by Rie Kugimiya- that's way to finally break the loli-tsundere typecast.

I suppose I can weigh in on topic...

    High Value:
    Dance in the Vampire Bund
    Ladies vs Butlers
    Omamori Himari

    Moderate Value:
    Idiots and Tests

I have not watched that entire list, so I am not able to be so exacting.

    Acceptable in spite of weirdness

    1. Chu-Bra

    WHAT THE HELL!?
Those shows are awful (Chu bra especially) while Baka is hilarity incarnate
    in short

    Yes...

    Because I watch animé differently.

To me, its much more than a - "instant expectant gratification" - for action, Ecchi, fanservice, and such.

    Besides ~

At times, all those things you mentioned, just takes time to render themselves fully before coming to the surface.

    In addition ~

I look at the Character designs, so I am always looking at the details present.

I listen to the subtle tones of the Characters background story when spoken and presented.

I watch the effects that are present in the animé itself, how they are done, and how it effects the animé.

To prevent a tl'dr ~ Its a combination of varying factors ~ for me.

Ndeed, its dependant on each viewer, and what they want to see and take notice.

    besides

    it's his opinion

why should you care what deth likes and doesnt like?

This rant makes so sense. Try making separate statments for separate people, or even addressing specific anime and asking what in particular a person finds (dis)interesting.

Or, just accept that people have different opinions. Why would you even make a thread like this if you don't expect a little dissent from your own opinion? You'd probably be happier just taking the narcissistic approach and assume everyone like everything the same way you do.

  5. Just noticed I didn't post what I'm watching for this winter season
(without bothering to sort into tiers)

To Aru Kagaku no Railgun - pretty obvious I'm watching this, no?
    Kobato. - couldn't resist CLAMP
Kimi ni Todoke - Manga caught my eye

Hidamari Sketch - Let's say once I see a series, I feel the need to watch the next season
Vampire Bund - Manga was very interesting
Sora no Woto - No idea, honestly
Ladies versus Butlers - Need some ecchi into what I'm watching
Omamori Himari - I find it hilarious at times
Baka Test - Hilarious enough to keep me watching
Ookamikakushi - The mysterious feeling pulled me in
    Chu-Bra!! - No idea why
Seikon - Decided to watch it after hearing who the seiyuu are

No! My Opinions are the correct ones! 8D

Omamori Himari is simply the Kinda ecchi trash that otakus eat up and are despised because of it, It's so obvious what's gonna happen each episode it's hardly worth watching the character aren't interesting and the animation is subpar and every cliche it uses has been done better in some other show. It's not even good ecchi its like random bra and panty shots at least L X B has epic boobage action.

And Chu bras even worse it didn't have the common decency to tell you it was a bad show from the get go like the other one It tries to disguise itself as Informative show for about their pantsu or some crap
    but what it really is
is a massive ripoff of haruhi and a really bad one at that an underwear club what the hell is that!? the characters are really bad (Two of the main ones are sluts and don't get me started on that faggy blond kid)
the character designs are really unappealing and the story is really shit Example of episode "Ahh My tits are too small! ;_;" next episode "Ah My tits are too big! ;_;" repeat this format for 13 episodes and add some random facts on bras you got off wikipedia that day and you have the show!

I'm not going to disagree, but I thought this was a thread about what we were enjoying now, not what we will remember 5 years from now. I enjoy the character designs and cheesy humor. It's not something that I'd consider buying in hard copy if it ever came out, but it's one of the worthwhile shows on my CR subscription.

Baka is amusing, I just don't particularly like any of the characters. I don't find anything wrong with it, it's just not for me.

Chu-bra just seemed tedious without any substantial comedy to back it up.

Yeah I guess how many eps of baka did you watch?
it's partly me telling you what's good and you thanking me for my recommendations though

and Did any one watch the new Katanagatari?
The ending made me lol slightly but it was a sad lol

  9. I've watched 5 ep of Baka. I'll probably watch the rest of them in one batch once the series is concluded.

And yes... I sacrifice sleep to watch Katanagatari sooner. I'm really curious where the story is going to pan out, since he seems to like her a lot more than she likes him. I wonder if they're going to have some betrayal drama right before the end? (please don't spoil if you've actually read the books)

  14. I don't watch that many of these ones but these are how the ones i watch rank for me.

    Dance in the vampire (Great)
Ookamikakushi (Great - specially now it's picked up a bit)
Omamari himari (OK by no means great but somehow watchable)
    Baka to test (Great)
    Seikon no Quaser (Good)

Refuse to watch Katanagatari simply coz the eyes rather creep me out

I'm more looking forward to the spring series as there seems to be some good stuff coming out then

    Boring tier
    Sora no Woto

I'll have to disagree on this one. This is in my "Only one worth watching this season tier". But other than that, generally agreed.

  17. How come i only saw Durarara!! once in this entire thread... It's true it starts slow but its got such a great story line, and the way it develops is just really attracting.

    Awesome-cakes Tier:
Durarara!!, Fairy Tail (got some slow points, but the OSt is so good!), Kobato (I always end up on the verge of manly tears.), Kimi ni todoke (nothing wrong with a good luv story!).

    Fun to watch tier:
Ladies vs Butlers, So-ra-no-wo-to, Letter Bee, Vamp Bund.

    Stopped watching:

Seikon no Qwaser (bored of the shitty censorship, took me out from the rhythm of the whole animation)

Yes, this is the reason I quit watching it.

Now ~ I DID watch the uncensored versions - (however) - waiting on them became tiring, so that was another reason it killed it for me.

    Other than that...
I knew that it was going to be a Lactation (energy booting) Oppai fest from the VERY start, so I wasn't surprised, offended, or upset by it.

Hell, I wasn't even bored with the subject matter either, it was - ACTUALLY - the first reason, followed by the second distantly, that ended my watching it.

    1) Lack of clear protagonist leaves viewer without any character to identify or otherwise empathize with, and lack of cohesive narrative. I watched halfway through ep3 and was wondering "What's the point?"

    2) No one is even subbing the censored version anymore...

My issue too, when a battle starts, you can only see jack, and probably no one will buy the DVDs of that anime.
What I'm watching right now is Ladies versus Butlers, I find it pretty fun but is getting a little slow these last episodes...
