What's Rin? I would google it but Rin is such an overused name in anime/manga that I probably won't find the right series. Is it more perverted than DitVB?

Rin is mnemosyne all that guro, raep with females(which one character looks young).Has immortal characters, wonderfull story, action and stuff.
I guess the only problem they have that a grown man is touching a small girl who happens to be a vampire in a small body and she is somehow suggestive???,best excuse would be it's a midget or a mini girl XD.

OK I've seen that. Wait Mnemosyne got licensed?! And here I though it was ridiculous that Queen's Blade was licensed, they really will license anything. Though calling it Rin is a little vague (even if it is the name of the main character). They should have just stuck with calling it Mnemosyne, even if it's harder to pronounce it would at least be easier to recognize (especially for people like me who watched it before it was licensed).

    Thats just stupid.

Changing the title of an animé, in order to make it more acceptable, at least thats what I am getting out this...

Does the censorship have no bounds that they have to screw with the title?

    Posted 6 years ago #
  5. I fail to comprehend how one or the other is more or less acceptable- granted I know nothing about the anime it question.

Changing names between regions is extremely common, and goes both ways. I hardly think renaming "Rockman Dash" into "Megaman Legends" constitutes a censorship effort. Or prehaps more on topic, Kodomo no Jikan, before its NA publication was scrapped, was called "Nymphet" which is far more risque than "A Child's Time" or "Time of the Child"- also more appropriate with its allusion to Lolita.

    Now that would be interesting...

See a US acceptance of KnJ and calling it - "A Child's Time" - in order to market it..

However, then the fallout from the "groups" would make it even more infamous.

Then the rage/acceptance from the fans (and those curious) would then make it a *Fapulous MUST HAVE* DVD in order to obtain it (before) it gets pulled off the shelves.

    Now that's an illusion ndeed...

  8. The last interesting vampire in my life was a character in my 4th edition game I run.

All he was doing was 'house hunting' for the wife in the Shadowfell when the party attacked him :)

I don't believe vampires have to be evil vlad rip offs either.

And when people start listing shows that slipped through the cracks, it doesn't change my stance on the matter. Pointless nudity is always pointless, and pointless loli nudity never does enough good to be worth the hassle.

I liked Rosario+Vampire, but I did find the panty shot obsession did more harm than good. A joke that eventually got old. And all the shot censoring wasn't helping, and if they had toned it down, who knows, maybe they'd have left the show alone.

If you're watching an ecchi anime or reading an ecchi manga then you have to expect nudity and panty shots (whether it's pointless or not). If you don't want to see pointless fanservice then don't waste your time with ecchi series. There are people that do want to watch ecchi anime and read ecchi manga and that's who those series are made for.

    ~ and?

I have been playing a active Vampire RP since 1997 and have been involved in the evolution of RBC (Ravenblack City) since its inception and including now.

My Character is married, his wife is a Kunoichi/Samurai, as well as his closest Daughter, and (in addition) has 13 Daughters, and which follows the Bushido Characteristic of the Samurai, as well as his entire Vampire Clan, which includes a personal entourage of female assistances who are also a part of his Clan/Family (similar to the amount of Hanaukyou Maid Tai).

He was respected and had varying sides.. evil and good.

I agree with what H-Ero stated, in addition...

Ecchi will be Ecchi regardless, if you were watching those animé in the hopes that it wasn't just fanservice, then you are not one to have seen the progression of such animé.

Gratuitous fanservice, has never been a problems for me, and I have no issues with it.

Its a part of the animu and if its overly done, its overly done, and quite frankly its expected in some animé. (because of the trend currently)

If it gets to be too much (which is a rarity) then I just tune it out, and pay attention and focus to the story. ~ and I would NOT - EVER - settle for a censored version like it was in Rosario+Vampire (or any other animé), instead I make the effort to see it uncensored (if available), as it should be.

But, I respect your views that its not your cup-of-tea, but it makes me wonder, you bitch and complain about it, yet ~ YOU STILL WATCH IT!

As I mentioned before, I think you actually (may) have a hidden fetish somewhere concerning the content of such ECCHI animé (but its all assumption on my part), however, it appears that you do and just don't want to admit it, for whatever personal fear you may have if you do.

We know its NOT your interest, however, I can say that its my interest (in addition to other things) and I will admit that I watch it, fap to it, and enjoy it for what its intended for...

~ ENJOYMENT. ~ of whatever nature it may consist of.

  13. Who cares about R1 releases? You can get higher quality versions of any licensed animu for free off the internet. If you want to support the real animu industry (not the licensing "industry") then buy figures or other merchandise from the series' you enjoy.

  14. Funimation censors everything they dub just look how much blood and nudity they took out of DBZ.

However, as a Christian, I would not presume to tell you what you should or should not watch because it is none of my business. If you like loli girls, as long as you don't touch the real thing or harm someone else, I really don't care what you do in the privacy of your own home.

It's a shame that more Christians don't have this type of attitude.

Wasn't that because Cartoon Network made them do that or else they wouldn't let it be aired on tv?

I'll give him that part, but that still doesn't change the fact that the rest of his anti-progressive ranting is insane.

Eh? What he says seems reasonble, if you actually understand what the terminology really means, rather than how the last 50 years has warped the definiion within the political climate.

    Progressive: Looking to change shit
Conservative: Not looking to change shit

He's not blaming democrats or anything like that, especially if you really read the article and the comments.

For left-wing progressives, it was the issue of alcoholism and domestic violence against women. For right-wing progressives, it was the issue of morality and the mistaken notion that consuming alcohol is a sin.

And later on in the comments:

I think that many people who call themselves "progressive" are in fact more libertarian than they realize. There's some test online that people can take which labels their actual political views. I'd always thought myself conservative but the answers I gave the test came back libertarian, which made sense once I thought about it.

Or to relate the concept to this specific debate:

Conservative: Freedom of speech is absolute and should have no abridgement.
Progressive: The public good is served with certain confinement put on freedom of speech.

Then fucking leave! We're not keeping you here and you clearly have no reason to stay here

And once again the anime isn't retarded and if think it's necessary to bash it pointlessly it is YOU who's retarded

I can see how you might conclude this based on how he engineered this particular article, but if you read some other stuff he's written, you'd see that he routinely uses "progressives" as a synonym for Democrats and idolizes Fox News and idiots like Glenn Beck.
