lol, Kodomo Jikan had no chance whatsoever. The manga was liscensed, but the liscensor never went into production because too few distributors were willing to carry it. (incidentally, I think it was the same company that has the Bund manga)

And of course, comics and manga are always less scrutinized than video counterparts. Borders Books carries Futari H manga, but I doubt they have anything near that racy in the video department.

Yes, vampire bund is amazing. The lolicon content is actually pretty minor. The stuff Artefact has posted from the manga is like the entirety of the loli content.

I have NO problem with Japan doing this and I understand the context as watch Anime - but be honest. Bill O'Reilly or Megyn Kelly (from Fox News) would see an UnCensored "Bund" - and drag FUNI through the mud in no time for making it even available.

Sides, I thought all you cats hated DUBS, you should consider it a badge of honor that only the Japanese is Uncensored. The FUNI "Spice & Wolf" dub come off nice and uncensored...and why? cause it's a female with TITS!. It's no brainer what FUNI did.

LOL...No I don't work for Fox News- lol. I am a Huge fan of "Red Eye" (which is on at 3 AM est on FNC). I was even on it once! (Yes! I was) No, I will not show a clip or tell you when it aired.

Make you laugh? Maybe. It has some cutesy moe moments as a means of contrasting Mina's opposing personality traits.

It's mostly a mix of action and political drama (albeit on a simple scale).

I seriously doubt that Bund will get a good dub. Chances are that they'll screw up Mina's voice by trying to make her dub voice sound too childish (as they do with most lolis).

I'd prefer it if Kojika stays unlicensed. The manga might have a chance at receiving a decent translation but if the anime ever got licensed then I doubt that the dub would be any good (assuming that it wouldn't be sub only). Most dub actresses aren't good at voicing little girls and I doubt that anyone with talent would be willing to work on this.

Okay, I just took a look at at funimation's streaming site. In the ep2 shade gel scene, they did some of the banter before stripping her down, you see her dress drop around her ankles (from the calf down) and then it cuts directly to the assassination attempt. The video blurrs out her nipples and buttcrack, but that's to be expected of an internet stream. I'm betting the blurring will be removed in the DVD released if they're showing Strike Witches in all its cameltoe glory. (images below)

If I were to have seen it without having seen the uncensored ATX broadcast ahead of time, I would have assumed they were interrupted before putting the shade gel on, then they apply the gel after the fight, off camera... and I wouldn't have realized that something was missing.

However, they did cut out what felt like a rather significant exchange...

In the end it sucks, but it's not as bad as I had ultimately feared. They still show Akira and Mina sleeping together in the start of EP3, and the opening still shows her dancing naked, althoguh comically half the time she's wearing a sash around her waist and half the time she isn't (probably but a terrestrial broadcast censorship- to be removed).

I would trust Laura Bailey to voice Mina. She did a great job with Maka Albarn. She sounds young, but not childish, and is still capable of vicious aggression.

I haven't seen this one yet and I don't exactly have interest in it either so I'm not totally bummed out, but the idea of censorship in general is what pisses me off!

I mean isn't that what the rating system was established for? Why can't they just slap a higher rating on it so only the ones mature enough to handle the content can actually get their hands on it in the first place? And that goes for video games too I hate it when shit gets cut from something and has a lower rating on it, I mean there are other M rated anime and video games out there! Because I haven't seen this yet I don't know exactly what the content is like, maybe I'd change my mind if it really were something to be concerned about (which I doubt) but also; isn't the character supposed to be like 1000 years old or something like that? So it's not like someone is really touching a little girl she's just small and looks under age. *sigh* I'm just glad they're continuing with their uncensored Strike Witches DVDs.

I didn't find the Strike Witches dub to be bad (although the second episode stopped loading at the end so I didn't get to hear the rest of the girls) but from what I heard it's good. Although I do agree that Mio is god awful, I can't believe they screwed her that badly but Yoshika on the other hand I really, really loved!

Spice and Wolf was censored even in Japan! I completely watched both seasons more than once and I don't recall seeing any tits! It was the only real flaw I saw with the show was they they wanted to have her run around completely nude but didn't want to show any detail. I mean if they had a problem with showing nipples she has long hair and a tail to conveniently cover body. That would have been better than having her run around with a manikin body! BTW the Spice and Wolf dub is awesome! I really didn't think any American voice actor could pull off Horo as good as the Japanese! And although I still prefer Ami Koshimizu as Horo her English voice still surprises me!

And I just remembered; doesn't Kira Vincent-Davis do the voice for Mio in the Strike Witches dub?!?! I love her so how could have screwed up so badly?!?! By far her worst job yet.

I wonder is it impossible to make one anime containing a censored version and an uncensored version of the anime on only 1 dvd.You would be informed what is in the uncensored one and would require a code to activate it or something.
