   The before picture shows the automail encompassing the whole arm. The after picture only reaches up to the elbow.

   Not just to the elbow or to the kneecaps. lol

   Fail indeed.

   And just a curious though. Human transmutation is taboo because you cant create a soul.
   You can create limbs and legs with normal science, and they know the make-up of the human body why cant they just transmute some real legs and armors. seems like a flaw in their equivalent exchange.

   unless hospitals, doctors and surgeons dont exist in alchemist world.
   who is backwards because to know what the human body consists of they must have had to have studied the human body.

   Did you read the manga?(which is way better than the first anime adaption, didn't get to watch the second one yet) Some military official explained why there are rules of not transmuting gold and humans.(edit: I forgot to say in recent chapters though it means months because Full Metal Alchemist is a monthly released manga and also there was a revealing about why edward and alphonse couldn't get their bodies back the normal way.)
