    the other factor is that my agreement is contingent on the concept that peoples private and public views are the same. But remember what light/kira once said about people and trying to be PC he was talking about killing criminals but it can easily apply to this as well. I thunk it was some thing along the lines of how if you ask a class if you should kill criminals all or most of them will denounce it because that's what they think everyone else expects when what they really think goes unsaid.

    If that was the case you would see it everywhere. Religous or not most consider little anime girl porn for disgusting perverts.

    Wow, that guy is doing some hardcore disguising of the truth if not outright lying. Lolicon is not widely available? That might be true of some of the more dedicated sources, such as Comic LO and its peerage, but the level over crossover between Lolicon and traditional sexuality contained within the moe aesthetic is totally ubiquitous.

    Maybe becouse he only gets english released stuff that he can buy legaly and not pirate it,is the reason why he doesn't know more about it?

    in think the da capo anime had a u.s. release i seem to recall seeing it at best buy. Bu the others i dunno about.

    To have that level of ignorance is almost inconceivable to me though. I would think that the editor in chief of a place called "Anime News Network" would at least be as well informed of the current events surrounding anime in Japan as the guys over at chartfag. Then again, I don't think ANN is well known for its journalistic integrity.

    Nope, no US release on the anime. Ironically, it's only the pornographic VN that's been locally released via Mangagamer. I haven't played it, but I can only assume there's some loli action featuring Sakura in the VN.

    Perhaps what I find most baffling about this case is the fact there there are a few blatantly lolicon hentai ova that one can easily buy in the US, without including all the stuff featuring "young looking adults". The Story of Little Monica and Harumi's Bad Play for example...

    Lets assume that he does know about it and wants to reduce the unneded hysteria.
    Anyway if you do compare it to all the material,lolicon does become a little smaller like he said,but he specifily mentioned about lolicon pornography.

    Also, Suncoast folded? Is that at a national level or just in your area? It's been like a year since I was last at a mall, and I'd be sad if they're totally gone, they're a good video store.

    not sure think it's a bit of both to be frank they were having financial issues and then they closed alot of their stores nationwide. So some may be open but they at least shut down over half their stores. Sucks cause since the local ma and pa style comic store has become family friendly and isn't selling hentai anymore the only place left is F.Y.E. and we all know how much THEY charge.

     Also isn't it strange how the border post office checked his content and if they thought it was illegal and he could be prosecuted for it.Then why did they send him this package,they could have protected him by not sending it to him and warn him that this stuff is maybe illegal to own.This sounds like something they just wanted to demonize the man for.
