  1. Wow, if ever, I'll be glad to join the QC or art team...

I think voices are not really a concern for now. There's plenty to do before we should even consider that. :P

Well, starting early to draw for the story wouldn't be very effective, since we're still deciding on most of the stuff which can at best be considered the very broad lines of the story. We'll first need a setting and a theme. Currently, the battle is raging between Modern and Steampunk. You can vote here.

You can of course make some concept art either way, but I'm not sure how effective it'd be when we're still not certain which setting we're working with.

    I see , thank you .

  3. I can do music and story.

I'll end up multi-working however, since I am working on another visual novel too.

  4. I can work on story and quality.
I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to creativity, plus I've always wanted to attempt a visual novel.

Plus, I do have an extreme grasp of the English language (seeing it is my native language).

Beside, it'll give me something to do when I'm not in school (or have homework).

Plus, I'm a pretty good artist as well.

  5. Art team! But as we know I am a close-minded fellow who will only be on the team if we're not doing modern. .......because I fail hard at drawing normal things...

ANYWHO! Contrary to popular belief I have drawn a few backgrounds.

    ......just not good ones.

...and only like... 5 in my entire life...

Also as well all know I'm more of a manga person so I'm not going to be perfect for this, though I'm sure I can do pretty well if I put my mind to it. The only thing I won't draw is some hard core hentai, I'm fine with nudes especially if they're of age and female, but I don't want to draw rape and the like.

  6. What this project will lack is programmers. There are enough people who can write and even more people who think they can write, but you will have serious trouble finding someone who can take care of the technical side.

Moreover, developing good story and characters is something which is more difficult as a team than alone. Pleasing everybody is next to impossible and the end result will most likely be a somewhat wacky mix of ideas without a clear line. Of course, input of people is required, but without at least the basic outlines decided it won't work. Having several people writing on one story also brings the problem that the writing style differs from person to person, making it kind of inconsistent.

This is true. It would be best to have maybe one or two main writers while the rest give them ideas to work with. Maybe assign the dialog for different characters to different writers so that they could have more unique personalities. If you have multiple writers for every character then that could lead to a lot of inconsistencies with how the characters act.

It's the same with artists. The art will look awkward if a bunch of different styles are used. I think that after all the character designs and event cg are done, there should be a final artist that will redraw it all so that every thing is in one style.

basically some oen needs to take charge and make all the decicions story wise then every one else gives ideas on how the plot that has already been decided can be progressed or events that can be added. unless some one takes control of the project as a whole and has a clear goal in mind it will end up too mash-up.

  9. I could take charge but after everything is settled, I dont want to get all authoritarian again. Im too nice for that.
First goal would be: making a smaller project than a full fledged VN to get experienced and to learn to work with each other.
Second goal: start planning the whole VN and come to a conclusion.
Third goal: get to work on the actual project.

i'v learned through many lectures, shows, and experiences that a good friend can't be a good boss unless every one is on the same page and knows the exact direction the project wants to go without any one pointing.

on another note, if every one has enough meetings to check on the progress of the project as a whole it can work and every one gets along fine, though discussion can and probably will occur.

Right. You'll definitely want giascle on board. In case you didn't know, he's won awards for video production or something like that.

Good luck. Because I believe you'll need loads of it.

I just can't imagine this kind of community ever finding enough dedication, organization, talent to support a project like this.

I predict it'll fall apart as natural ADD sets in for most of you.
