This is good, but ultimately gonna end up as a popularity contest, like someone said. With the popular characters winning every round till its down to the most popular ones or most recognized members of sancom, who will nail bite people they dont like by telling friends to vote for them.
Should consider judges and running it almost as a miss universe pageant.
Letting people actually edit content as it ultimately decided by picture. You may say "people with edit skills will win" but isn't that's how most contest are won through skills. meh i just think some of the rules need to be re-thought of

Noted. The 1-week time until the entry submission is there to allow for discussions of the rules, suggestion of changes, etc. Thus, until then, the rules that I had published earlier is by no means the final version.
I agree this is a popularity contest. After all, this IS about choosing the most favourite. The factors that could make votes go the way of the underdogs are the limited entries (32), I hope, and the tournament format, esp the Group Stage. I expect a "Group of Death" in this. Regardless, I'm putting my money on voters not being swayed by needless persuasion.
No waifu pic editing is allowed, if that subdues your skepticism.

Put it like this some people got waifus who are not that popular so they wont have too many waifu fanart pictures to compete with or the waifu is from an old time with that times art work. but by letting them pretty up the art with the waifu in it will give them a fighting chance
like cutting out a waitfu and putting her in a different setting. by doing this you give everyone a shot not just the ones with popular charcaters. like say it was a swimsuit cata and you have Haruhi going up against like 3 not that well known but a user spice up his waifu entry picture that made it shine. and people are like wow i like her the setting she in blah blah gives those lessers a chance
just something to consider, i'm just thinking about fairness. i mean im interested, sure others are they just dont wanna it to come down to popularity as the ultimate decision
