I would personally rather deal with bots than with GameGuard xD

I'd rather deal with gameguard than bots. Even looking at it objectively makes gameguard a better choice. A few people inconvenienced by safety protocols is worth the business from thousands of conent customers.

  2. agree, I've played alot of different games and only rarely have problems with gameguard. Spam bots are unstoppable but people letting a computer program do all the grinding for them really pisses me off ~_~'' probably because I spend years developing the mental ability to numb my consciousness while I grind for hours on wow and I won't feel a thing.

  3. Ah korean games

me an a friend anticipating blade and soul
like we did aion I say we was one of the 1st peoples on that game pre-ordered beta hunting once it was live we played for a month before quiting because of how crappy a lot of the shit about the game was, yea they have pretty visuals but that's about it. Reason why guild wars is known and does well is because its made by the American branch of ncsoft
former employees of wow. so when guild wars 2 drop its gonna be the shit because they are not afraid to take all the concepts from wow and creating almost a wow clone with korean visuals, where everyone else says we not gonna copy wow BOOM fail Warhammer BOOM Fail Age of conan BOOM fail Aion starting to boom fail. lineage actually holds up. not to wow but in its own way

and now you got the most anticipated MMORPG dropping spring 2011 or 2012 Star Wars the old replubic made by the most critical acclaimed rpg makers bioware. they are taking shit to the next level with this game all chracters will have a voice, everything in that damn game will talk
none of that quote shit, along with that those choices that can effect the outcome of you and your mates attitude and appearance when questing

  4. Lets wait for the opinions of the beta testers of BnS, I'm sure the BnS abbreviations Will be used so represent bull shit if this game fails xD

It was a one of a kinda MMO and became pretty popular over time.

Then how many accounts and how many gamers playing simultaneously did Aion have in the West during its peak? I am getting a strong feeling from the rhetoric flying around here that this was only of interest to Western otakus and not Western gamers. Western otakus quite often latch on to Korean mmo's but that doesn't make them well known or popular in the West.

If you'd care researching, Aion is one of the youngest MMOs out there. There was no peak. The game is still in rapid development and no one can tell much about the game's true potential and what there is to come.

Do you have any concrete evidence of its Western, Japanese, or other foreign popularity then?

  8. To be more precise as to how young Aion is it just came out last year around november. Also i know some guys who quit wow to play it and they were NOT otaku.

And if we went by that route one could easily mistakenly think many niche anime are hugely popular among foreigners though that is clearly not the case in reality.

  11. If its f2p, call me, if we make a private server, call me, if we all happen to forget about this thread around the time the game is released, called it :P

Well. Seeing how it got IGN's MMO of 2009..

If NCSoft would just find a good way to wipe the servers clean of RMT and bot users then the game would be better than WoW. It's certainly got a lot more to do than what WoW had during WoW's launch cycle.

Hell, it took WoW more than 2 years to release an update to its initially mediocre content.

Quit trolling and see what others have to say to this.

I can't prove Aion, but Atlantica Online (by NDoors, another Korean company) has become fairly popular and also successful in the sense that people are throwing a lot of money into their cash mall, considering that it is only a bit over 1 year old over in NA servers. I can't really give any numbers in terms of total amount of players, but still considerably big for a 1 year old MMO.

With that said, I highly doubt my computer can handle this... =P

  15. I hope NCsoft finally can make some good MMO action/rpg game and at the same time not a grind fest as LA2.
