   I don't understand how lolicon is illegal and something like this isn't even flagged.
   

   Basically a Western form of guro.

   It's also appropriate for kids to watch, or at least this idea may be implied by the fact kids are wearing their clothing in their videos.
   

   I wonder what UNICEF thinks about that little girl wearing that Happy Tree Friends T-Shirt. Shouldn't children be protected from seeing this sort of thing? I as an adult am extremely disturbed by gore/guro.

   It's not even flagged. I mean my goodness.
   I can even be pretty misanthropistic at times. I think Boyd Rice's song people is a very relatable song. I enjoy quite a bit of unusual and questionable stuff, like enjoying lolicon, putting me in quite a minority and a lot of people thinking I'm a "sick fuck".

   But really, I don't understand where the lines are drawn and why. I think myself quite the nice, good person who happens to not be Christian, who happens to like lolicon, who happens to have a bit misanthropistic feelings from time to time that I'm sure everyone has.

   But I don't know. This seems like just another case of sex being demonized in society worse than violence if there's no care at all legally about what guro/gore makers of all kinds to. Which contain extremely disturbing human torture, stuff I'd much rather face extremely nasty rape at the fate of a very undesirable guy, than endure.

   I think they should have the right to make that nasty stuff....but why give them rights so easily above lolicon/shotacon...or even now I've been notified, gays?(yaoi fan prosecuted, where did I hear this? I thought it was here.)

   I don't understand. How depicted human extreme torture of life, is better than depicted possibly very consensual sex.

   It's because the Western world is so deeply rooted in religious and moral fear. We were taught that sex is only for procreation. Gays and people doing it for fun, even masturbators, were bad for tainting the sacred reproductive act and it's stuck with us since (and wasting energy/juices better spent making babies). Too bad sex/fapping/etc feels great and we'll continue doing it anyways.

   Don't forget all those fun guys and gals who lump all the bad things together. Like them saying if you're gay, you must be a pedo and/or beastialist as well! It's all the same to them: bad. Because it doesn't make babies or fit people's views of what is 'normal.' (As a lesbian myself, I personally find it hilarious when people try to make that connection.)

   It's also because we have people like John Kellogg and Sylvester Graham from centuries ago telling the impressionable colonist/developing American minds that sex is bad. Graham invented the Graham cracker but he wanted us to eat it because he believed food that wasn't bland made us fuck and fap like crazy. (Fun fact - I'm descended from Sylvester Graham somewhat. His ghost must hate me.)

   We fear it because we were taught to fear it. Meanwhile wars and inquisitions were okay because the same people who feared sex deemed the violence necessary or even enjoyable. Remember the Crusades?

   Sex is a natural part of life and romance, even if it doesn't lead to making children. It will happen eventually to most everyone. Maybe if we were taught about it better and lifted some of the religious taboos, there wouldn't be so much unwanted/teen pregnancies and overpopulation, but the chance of this happening is ridiculously slim.

   I don't know of anyone who actually knows anything about the series and would consider it a kids' show.

   On TV I've only seen it air on G4, which perhaps alone speaks volumes on its quality and content.

   Sex is not okay. Extreme violence and simulated murder is just fine.

   That's just the way the world works.

   Even around other people who I'd consider to be pretty intelligent, I'd bring up this subject, and immediately I'd have to go on the defensive because suddenly I'm labeled a child molestor/pedophile/mentally fucked up pervert. I attempted to explain the concept of "3D pig disgusting" and "moe", but if you've never seen a fanservice anime, or examples of what is being to referred you, you just won't understand. :)

   I'm sure the stigmatism against lolicon can be blamed on a lot of things. Christianized cultures are not as open to sex as other cultures that are okay with it. The media has effectively turned "sexual predator", "child predator" into some big scary monster waiting to snatch you away and rape the shit out of you. Nowadays, you get caught walking in front of a day care, suddenly you're branded a sexual predator for life.

   On a side note, I'm disgusted by the way the word "pedophile" is used, and how "pedophiles" are treated. It's like being disgusted by someone that was born with big feet and ostracizing them for that. I don't even think many people are attracted to pre-pubescent children, but teenagers which is normal, and it's not like there don't exist cultures where 14 year old girls get married to men twice their age and nobody cares.

   It's because they are animals, if you look at any of the clauses in why lolicon is lolicon, the excuse is a convienient "because they look like children".

   Also, I remember this was broadcast for a brief amount of time, on a channel on the 'kids' section of Sky, although I think if this was something like that discrace of an anime, about that 'pedophile' dude who invents imortality and gets the shit kicked out of him by an angel, then it would probably not be aired on tv, for the same reason as lolicon.

   The thing is, a show like that seems almost too pointless, they are getting paid to draw a 10 min clip of an animal geting abused. It has no narative, (yes, it's clear they are selling lemons, but context is not narative) it has no ideology, and it's hardly even humourus past maybe the first 1 or 2 episodes.
   I mean, how many times can you see an animal slaughtered in a similar way before it becomes a redudant fantasy?

    Why do you think drawing and animation exist in the first place.To show every freaking possible thing without actualy doing anything wrong no matter how it looks.People are entertained by it from the limitless possiblities you get from it.I would never give up on something like that.
    The day anyone will bother all the fiction of animation and drawing will be a lost humanity to me .
    And stop censoring,you can always release an adult version of it.
    Also you don't need to watch it if it bothers you.But children shouldn't watch adult shows.
    Also some things are ment for adults others are for children,but it doesn't mean adults shouldn't watch childrens shows sometime.

    There aren't even a lot of democratic countries that operate that closely to that principle of majority rule. Much of the time the citizens are at the whim of the parliament or congress, unless you are talking approving laws for only a particular state, city, province, etc.

    This is due to European and Western religious influence, which is pretty much the entire planet.

    There are plenty of indigenous cultures that are very open about sexuality. They would find it very strange how much we try to censor it.
