One of my friends plays a ton of Metal Gear Solid 4.
I want to play Valkyria Chronicles sooner than later, but my roommate (who owns the PS3) is not much of a fan.
We have Little Big Planet which is probably the best game on the console though, and one of the few platformers.
Of course, there aren't a lot of exclusives to the system, and most aren't much improved or defined over the X360 versions of titles, sadly. I really do see it more a blu-ray player that does protein folding and can play games.

I don't, and if I were to buy one, it would be just for Metal Gear Solid 4...

For PSP I have Metal Gear Solid port ops, GTA Vice city stories, Tekken, Daxter and the Haruhi game
For Wii I have Brawl and Twilight princess
For DS I have Mario party, Advance Wars:DoR,Mario 64, and Pokemon Pearl.
My Wii and PSP are my least favorite, but I'm still accepting challengers in Brawl, so if you want to play me on Brawl or any of these online compatible games, post your friend code or whatever PSN uses.

You might want to give those a go, those are some of the best games there are on the system, not to mention the huge backcatalogue of GC titles.

I can't see it happening soon, Sony have mentioned they are focusing on profit at the moment on the system and not market share (if my memory serves me correctly)...

I am planning on getting many of those games, especially Mario galaxy, but I've lost interest in playing with a Wii mote and disappointed by the very few hardcore games on the console. I'll consider those games your talking about but damn... can't we use the GC controller in all the games?------------------------------------------------------------------------

400 dollars is not worth it to just play Little Big World, Street Fighter IV, and Disgaea 3....then again, I don't have any of the next gen consoles.

i have a ps3, though i left it at home cause i don't want it braking on a plane. righ tnow i only have disgaea 3 and MGS4 but plan on buying valkyria chronicles as soon as i find a copy anywhere and of course any rpgs that come out. i was also enticed by the dinasty warrior gundam game i saw in blockbuster so i'll have to rent it some day. another main reason i got it was for the blu-ray, when i heard Ghost in teh shell 2: inosence was getting a blu-ray release that made up my mind, that and i heard a rumor that it will soon be able to play .mkv files wich i'm really hoping is true.

If a 360 fanboy is willing drop $400 for a console just for Halo 3, I thinks 3 games is reason enough!

I actually bought SFIV, but then sold it immediately and picked up SCIV instead - really I expected some kind of progress from SF in areas other than the graphics.

it's defniatley for a certain audience, i liked it since i always had back and forth matches with my bro and it's what we do with friends when we get together so i enjoyed it. i'd sujest renting to see if you like it or not, definatley for a target audience though.

Street Fighter 4 sells because of the nostalgia factor. Its definitely for people who probably have been playing the game for years. So I guess keeping the engine the same and updating the graphics is fine for them since they already know every tidbit from the previous games. Its not about innovation but refining the familiar.
I enjoy any fighting game, since I'm very competitive by nature.

Got Valkyria Chronicles, Armored Core 4 Answer, MGS4.
Those three are probably the only game I play for PS3. Waiting on the new Atelier title to come out.

SFIV is good, read up on some reviews before buying of course, but if you like fighting games it'll be brilliant.

wow I'm glad that you all are too lucky to have made the right decision, eh? I'm now stuck here with my RROD Xbox 360 (I can't give it back to Microsoft since I've made some illegal modifications on it)...I think I'll just revert to PC for the moment and wait for the next gen consoles to come...
@xbow: I'm not suggesting that Xbox 360 is bad though, just recently they released 360's with new system architecture,,,,pfff, nevermind, if you have the money for the games and stuff then why don't go for PS3, right?
