    Yeah, that is the problem at converting songs to german.

  3. I prefer anime openings sung in german since they are way more professional

    @Ayu : Du hast absolut Recht!! o><o
    Ach, die gute alte Zeiten als ich RTL2 noch empfangen konnte / Kabelanschluss /...^^
    Aber ich höre mir Animehits auf YouTube immernoch gerne an :P

    From the above I guess Super Drive and Kiddy Grade Ed are my favs...Toradora and Discotheque need a bit more professonality to it but they are good as well^^

    The Kuroshitsuji Ed surprised me...I tend to avoid Japanese singing English, 'cause it sounds a bit weird^^U ( tho' if they only use a few words or phrases, that's okay :P )

  4. I even know many japanese songs that include german but they always sound wierd. My favorite band Yousei Teikoku is also named "Das Feenreich" but it sounds always like "Das Vielleicht". It seems to be pretty hard to speak or sing any language western language with the japanese pronunciation. XD

  5. Yeah, kind of^^
    Though the opposite is just as bad...Did anyone actually every listened to Avril Lavigne's Girlfriend with Japanese refrain? XD My ears needed therapy after that...^^U

    About Feenreich...That's not even a hard word to pronounce in Japanese...Fee-e-n-rai-sh(u)...o_O

    Erm...Not really fitting vid, but I guess "in a way" it still is...^^U

  6. As been in fansubs for a few months, I actually favor subtitled anime over dubs, either professional or fan made. I understood why some people would like dubs, but still I think most of the songs dubbed in my native language (Spanish) lately really suck, so I favor original lyrics…

    It wasn't sung by japanese. The singer is Becca. She's american I think. I saw her concert at otakon.

    I'm glad you included Cristina Vee. She's actually a voice actress. She does the english Nanoha. Love her for that alone.

    Anyway, there's something you forgot to mention gantz. There are officially english dubbed songs. Like:

    Yeah I remember that kiddy grade OP it's actually pretty good and really catchy.

    And that Haruhi OP Super Driver by Christina Vee is probably the only "good" one of the bunch in my honest opinion.

    Best fucking OP of that season imo. God it was so kewl. "We live a dying dream...I tried to talk to God to no avail...if you can't save me please don't waste my time".

    I think so too. Surprised me at first when they went for Oasis in an anime OP.

  19. English = Fail
    Japanese = win
    In the end, it depends on how the song is sung or how the singer sings that fits in well with the song. Utada hikaru can sing pretty good in English when Simple and Clean or Sanctuary was dubbed, so maybe a few anime songs would sound good in English. Most of the time, the English versions are off key and don't mix with the background music at all. Take for example, Hare Hare Yukai in English.

    Watch that and compare it to the original Japanese version, you'll see a huge difference.

  20. That anime was pure, solid win. The quality definitely shows up in the fact that the english lines were done RIGHT. And not in slaughtered engrish. I'm pissed about how long we have to wait before the movies are released and subbed.
