Appearently there will be UFOs in Gensokyo this time. Demo to be released at Retaisai 6 with full release to follow at Summer Comiket.
Confirmed playable characters are Reimu, Marisa and Sanae.
I, for one, am looking forward to the music from this release.

Not entirely confident of this rendering, but...Nothing to correct or commemorate. Touhou Project 12
"Touhou Seirensen [Star-Lotus Ship] ~Undefined Fantastic Object".
Contrary to the usual feel, the scoring balance has been majorly reworked from the norm, making for a fairly challenging game.
I've studied the difficulty level. Yeah, it's simple and easy to earn [points].As for the story, to put it simply:
Gensokyo's abuzz with rumors of a flying treasure ship sighted since the beginning of spring. Thinking this is a good omen, the player darts all over the sky in pursuit of black shadows, attempting to be first to board the treasure ship.That's the kind of light feel it's got. The player characters are the three humans plus Sanae. Each one chooses one of two goals and follows the treasure ship(?) zooming all over the sky. The goals are surprisingly light, and yet...
Completion is scheduled for 2009.
A demo CD is planned for sale at the Hakurei Shrine Reitaisai on March 8. You can even use it for a pot coaster if you're interested.
As usual, the demo will contain up to Stage 3. It's so much the usual that you'll pass through the game as usual. Nostalgism is nostalgism, no matter how old it gets.
