   Catgirl family seeks help

   A six-year-old girl dubbed "catgirl" has baffled medics after a soft black fur started to spread over her body.

   Until just a few months ago, Li Xiaoyuan, of Fengkai, southern China, had just a small patch of discoloured skin on her back.

   Her dad Li Yan said: "Doctors told us it was just a birthmark even when it started spreading – but now it covers half her body. None of the other children want to play with her – they are calling her catgirl and are really mean."

   The hairy hide now covers her entire back and is starting to grow on her arms and face.

   "The poor girl - it breaks our hearts to see her suffer like this," said mum Li Jiang.

   Surgeon Dr Lou Zhongquan of Zhaoqing City Dermatological Hospital believes the youngster may be suffering from a rare hereditary disease that has sent normal moles out of control.

   "If they were smaller we could use laser treatment but even if we removed these with surgery there is a very strong chance of post surgery haemorrhage," he explained.

   The girl’s family are now trying to raise the money to get expensive medical treatment to help their mutant daughter.

   I can't help but wonder... Is this our next step in evolution?with doctors constantly trying to get rid of (or hiding) mutations, it's hard to notice...

    YES to be blunt i belive mental and physical disabilities are modern evolution trying to find the best fit for the modern worlds structure. People like myself with asperger syndrome freakin scream newtype minus the whole telepathy thinglets run down the list.

    Anyways enough with the pseudo jokes things like asberger syndrome and other forms of autism are increasing at an exponential rate (yes that is the right word look at the rates in england or hell anywhere). It is actually suspected people like einstein edison and MANY of the greatest geniuses had it. In short mentally superior socially inferior. oh we're almost pre programmed to be obsessive in some category i once knew a camera otaku with ausbergers another who was a country otaku. so yeah people like me feel like mutants from the x men with almost everyone saying cure cure cure like f'n zombies. BTW i should add i wound up getting more of the anti social traits why i'm a pseudo hikkikomori.
