Be fortunate that at least the US won't cave in (by emotional persuasion to ban these stuff) as fast as Canadians Europeans when it comes to this stuff.

I agree civil methods are best for now at least.

True, always the best way to go
besides If they ban all this stuff nobody gonna be in arms gonna be sitting at the computer desk crying, doing nothing like the majority does now. I mean when you dont got backing from the people who creates this stuff Its kind of hard to fight that battle.
But look whos stepping up? outsiders predominantly from the usa.
and when I get my site going Yestofreedom gonna have a big spot on my site. and im also helping my friend set up his clothing company. gotta see if i can throw some yestofreedom in there

Morals? There are no morals. There are some spiders that suck the money and life out of the normal people. Fastest one wins.

Yeah, sorry I explained it badly..

I think the next step will be socialism. Take all the money and might away from the bastards controlling the world and hang them on the nearest lamppost.

At this stage I would choose capitalism over socialism anyday.. not just because I'm a selfish bastard, but because socialism will just inhibit progress and blah blah... while capitalism blah blah..

If you want to argue about it, feel free to make a new topic as we would be derailing this one..

We can keep it short. ^_^
My idea of socialism looks almost like capitalism, only there's no super rich people. Lowest and highest income is regulated.

I have a nice weird idea what to do against hoarding of money, negative interest. Like money looses 10% of it's worth after every year you don't spend it. Should be easy to do with computers and keep the system working much more smoothly than today.

  6. Something to keep in mind when discussing cartoon porn...

A while ago I was the main writer on a document in defense of cartoon lolicon.

Readable here: Open Letter on Dangerous New Legislation

It was a long, very carefully worded, scientifically sourced presentation of the anti-prohibition side of this issue.

The work did touch on just about every valid reason why our side has the upper-hand in furthering peace and tolerance.

However, we nevertheless still brought up the point that lolicon fiction can act as an outlet, a therapeutic aid, for potential child molesters. Many books and professors and statistics were referenced in favor of this.

    -

There is a flaw in even simply acknowledging arguments such as those.

They give the other side the "benefit of the doubt" that people who enjoy 2D lolicon need therapy. It becomes the only point they bother responding to.

Anything else you say, such as:

    1) "it's a common taboo-breaking fantasy for healthy, law-abiding citizens to have (in parallel with violent fiction)"

    2) "it's protected as a freedom of speech, thought, and a fundamental human right (it's a human right not to be incarcerated for what you speak, write or believe) and civil liberty"

    ...gets completely, completely ignored.

This is playing into the opponent's paranoia.

They latch onto the notion that these people (who think that unorthodox sex-fantasies are ok) are unstable in some way. That they are likely to be a danger, and require intervention.

  7. We've seen this behavior before in paranoid moralists.

Ultimately, it's never a good idea to give them any leeway to begin this kind of unproductive argument loop.

They will simply run with the idea that we're defending only dangerous social monsters.

Any time you give them "what they want to hear", they'll just push you harder to give them even more benefit of the doubt until they've distilled the discussion into exactly the elements they need to present it as if their opponents are all demented scum.

Here is a better argument to stick with:

Even today, it is already legislatively possible for a person to be punished more for writing about imaginary fairies having consensual sex with each other on paper than for brutally stabbing a real person to death.
    .
Outlawing unorthodox cartoon sex-fantasies means unapologetically confining a law-abiding citizen under the pretense that doing so will help to prevent the thought, the fiction, from becoming reality. It is pre-emptive incarceration when the person hasn't expressed a desire to commit the portrayed crime, and even when the creative material isn't depicting a real-life crime.
    .
In point of fact, deviant Hentai commonly doesn't fictionally represent criminal activity at all. Most fantasy themes under review for criminalization involve silly mythological creatures (such as elves, fairies, angels, demons, aliens, etc.), and the erotic circumstances frequently have literally no plausible correlate in reality. These are dream-like settings of magic and illusion.
    .
Fantasy is there to imagine the impossible. Why should drawing what is impossible be made more illegal than committing 1st degree murder?

A similar lesson can be learned from this video about the same basic kind of "argument trap" when discussing Homosexuality:

    "Is Homosexuality unnatural?"

Watch this rant. It's good medicine for your debate skills.

  8. When you discuss with ignorant moralist or religious ideologist fags the very last thing to do is giving them a point to attack you. No matter how small it is they'll blow it up to huge dimensions.

You know, maybe you should play the devils advocate.

Tell them you're all for banning loli hentai to protect children.
Ban crime tv shows, movies and books to prevent crimes.
Ban horror tv shows, movies and books to prevent satanic rituals.
Ban weapons, guns and knives, to prevent murders and stabbings.
Ban tools like axes and stuff that can be used to hurt people.
Ban religions to prevent religious terrorism.
    And so on.

  10. No, somewhere during your listing of bans that should be done there will something that concerns the right people (I'm talking more about mighty than right here), like the weapons lobby. That's when they'll stop this shit.
