   Wasn't this covered a while back on the main blog?

   Regardless, it's terrible. Korea does it too on some degree. Not as much as dogs, but still to the point that it's notable. Something about how cat-meat helps you "stay healthy".

   Yah... mostly in China... read about it in high school in geography textbook. They actually had pictures of the cats being trapped in cages, and the sliced open/skinned cats hanging on what looks like a butcher shop with hooks.

    Haha no, ox-bow lakes are part of the units on physical geography... then there are human geography units which deal with development, urbanization, globalization, and the such. It was during the development/globalization part that it was mentioned... something about even though China is a integral part of the global economy and is very much westernized and such, there are still these kind of practices going on. And then just to freak us out, they had those kind of pictures in them... It's like those pictures of women in less economically developed countries with like many many children and their breasts hanging down to their navels.

    That taboo show is sick = ="... I saw some stuff on it. The one that got me was the one they had on the sex changes... and I believe somebody posted a picture of the ... ummmmm... woman/man that was on the show naked on the forum. Quite disturbing in some sense... but meh, they enjoy whom they are, and I guess I have to respect that.

    Sadly i saw that episode also. I think the one that got to me the most was this one guy that drinks cobra venom from the sac after he kills it with a mongoose.

    I don't have a problem with eating cats/dogs in itself... but it would be nice if they killed the cats before shoving them into boxes like that.

    birds fish cows pigs. nothing cuddly like cats and dogs.
    President Obama said his step-father Lolo forced him to eat cat, dog and snake on different occasions during his time in Indonesia from the ages of 5 to 10 years old according to "Dreams of my Father."

    It is extremely bad luck to eat cat in Japan and the Philippines. But poverty will do that to you. Cat is not a delicacy it is what you eat when you have nothing else like eating rats in the Vietnam war.
