Well, it never would've been made without the song. Therefore, it's based of a miku song- a song by Hatsune Miku. So, Motaku could still say that.

Meh. The song is still sung by Miku. Even if the songs not about miku(which I didn't say btw) in the end, its still a miku song. Just as all vocaloid songs have an origin somewhere, we still refer to them by the vocaloid that sings it.So saying it is based off a miku song, is not incorrect.
