I am actually a fan of Slashdot's moderation system - sadly nobody really uses their codebase these days though.
There doesn't appear to be much in the way of user comment scoring/moderation for Wordpress, but I believe bbPress has some standard voting features. Perhaps something which could be explored later, once the two are integrated - allowing scoring on the forum (or within WP) to affect view thresholds would work quite well.

Also the views box might be better utilized in user profiles, other wise sgis automatically added to your comment would be nice.

Having a decent moderation system would, imo, although I don't think SC really needs it. Plus I think the signal to noise ratio (on the forums anyway) is quite high.
I'm actually quite plesantly surprised at the signal to noise ratio on the forums.
Hopefully I'm not jinxing it, as I wouldn't enjoy needing to do much moderation work (which currently mostly consists of adding tags to posts).
