  3. Jarmel, this is exactly what we're aiming for. Posters from the forum will have their rich content posts included as comments too, if appropriate. Publishing select threads to the front might also be interesting.

    MV, thanks, I had missed a target attribute when I rebuilt the thumbnail engine. You're correct that relying on a third party for something as crucial as comments is very unappealing. It's not a very nice thing to say, but also we would likely gain very little from their community type features.

    Dingo, you can indeed remove such code. Not sure if people would prefer that in by default, although adding them themselves would be difficult.

    Zippy, I believe you just need to clear cookies.

    Did that but I still have to select the stuff from the list, it was all loaded automatically before.

  8. I'm on safari and clearing my cookies didn't work. Tried it on firefox and the page wouldn't load, I kept getting an error to connect. Maybe your giving out bad cookies?

  9. There was a DB hiccup a little earlier which might have caused the trouble.

    Speaking of lurking, I hate having to make links out of forum posts so I can try and stay on top of them. Email notify is the best but can cost, can you have a alert on site vists that alert you to updates. Last just be able to look at all your posts by date.(well last 100 mabye, specifically last post in thread,making it thread>post specific take up less space).

    Or just begin able to search for your posts...I dunno I have not made enough posts to see how quirky the forums are but the user data/post tracking options seem basic.

    Forgive mew if I am posting out of order..I iz broken. =^^=

    Don't think so, tried guessing parameters like user/author.. but no luck :p

    There's a 'add to favorites' on top of every topic as well as a RSS feed button.
    If you click on your username on the upperleft below the sankakucomplex logo you can see a list of your own posts.
    Also a favorites list under there, showing the topics you favorited

    Ah I see now the

    "Views

    * Latest discussions
    * Topics with no replies
    * Topics with no tags
    * Topics I've started
    * Topics I've participated in
    * Topics with new posts

    "

    Bit at the end of the main forums page....this should be in user pages as well...because..its mostly...a user option... then again I have been to a few dozen forums in my life that had some similar forum of setup... I could just be lucky and hit all the like ones :P

    BTW my topics dose work if you click on it from the forum main page.

  17. Ok I personally would like you to yank the Anonymous system. This only encourages trolls and the internet is anonymous anyway. It annoys the crap out of me when some idiot makes a stupid comment and disappears into the anonymous category and also due to the amount of comments you're getting, it gets kinda confusing.

    When used responsibly, posting anonymously is quite useful at times. I don't think yanking anonymous would get rid of trolls and the like. Having a decent moderation system would, imo, although I don't think SC really needs it. Plus I think the signal to noise ratio (on the forums anyway) is quite high.

  19. Only semi-related but could there be some way of actually doing text searches for specific tags on forum topics? This way if I don't see "Cirno" in that left column on the forums' main page, I can still do a search for all topics with a Cirno tag.

    Particularly useful if I'm trying to find a post or topic with a specific picture or theme.

    It would help though and it would be easier to respond to people. It won't get rid of trolls but it does help and identification of the trolls is a good start. Forums need self moderation as well as admin moderation.
