BALTIMORE (AP) - Baltimore police say a Johns Hopkins University student armed with a samurai sword killed an intruder in his garage.

Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi says campus security and an off-duty city officer responding to a call for a suspicious person heard screams to call police around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Guglielmi says the undergraduate student told the man he found in his garage to leave and the man accosted him. That's when Guglielmi says the student defended himself, cutting off the man's hand and causing a severe laceration to his upper body.

He says the man died at the scene, but police are not yet releasing his name.

Police are interviewing the student and his roommates, and are talking to prosecutors about whether to file charges.

When I was in high school it was a vocab word you had to learn probably in preparation for the SAT

  5. A REAL samurai sword? I mean, damn, that must be a sharp one...

I wonder if he felt any pain and was it possible to "glue" his arm back. :'DD

Those beasts are fucking sharp. I saw a documentary about one of the last japanese sword smiths, the guy is 93 or something. To demonstrate he took a new sword he just made and hacked through a bundle of bambus half a meter thick - one handed. The sword went through that like a hot knife through butter...

I wonder if he felt any pain and was it possible to "glue" his arm back. :'DD

He's dead, so why glue it back? Better attach a chainsaw for the afterlife... ^_^

  9. I wonder how much EXP he gained, and how well was he rated in terms of combo, style, damage taken, etc. I bet he gained an S grade and unlocked a new achievement called Devil Slayer.

  10. I say let him off the other guy started and he finished. That and it's just AWESOME that he used a samurai sword. But yeah dosen't what he did qualify as self defense albeit a bit overboard. Also remind of one incident i heard of where a guy defended his home with a katana using moves he acquired from gaming Ninja Gaiden supposedly to be precise.

  11. I'd say "That'll teach that nigger!", but being he's dead, the point is somewhat moot.

You know I've always kind of hoped that somebody would try to break into my house. I'd even let them creep around for a while so I have a good excuse as to why their skull is crushed in when the police arrive.

I was thinking either a rusty cleaver, a baseball bat, or if I'm really alert at the time a chainsaw.

  16. This is straight from a fucking anime. Especially considering the damages. First hack off the hand to show him hes SOL, then clever him in a gruesome manner. Maybe the dude watched a lot of samurai champloo ^_^
