   Here in Germany the Catholic Church should be closed down according to law.

   It's illegal in Germany to only employ men, in the Catholic Church there are no female priests allowed.

   This is illegal according to the anti-discrimination-law and - very important - the german constitution.

   It's illegal in Germany to tell your employees what they have to do in their free time, still the Catholic Church bans marriage for priests.

   This again is illegal according to the german constitution.

   All this makes the Catholic Church an organisation hostile to the german constitution and as such illegal. According to law all possessions of the Church have to be seized, the higher ups prosecuted and the Church closed down.

   I wonder when that happens. ^_^

   But is it considered a job? I see it as volunteer work, or a non-profit organization. They don't have to pay taxes in the US. But I hope they get shut down, serves those hyppcrites.

   Nuns are female monks, very low in the hierarchy. There are no female priests or higher allowed.

   Nah, what I do is apply law on the church. The goddam fucks dont stand above the law.

    I seem to remember someone else bitching about religious freedom of catholics, who was it? oh right, HITLER!

    Judge not lest ye be judge cause when the Muslims take over Germany, the Athiests will be the ones marginalized right after the christians.

    The catholic church provides lots of charity and did lots of good providing sanctuary for jews during the holocaust. I don't think they are correct int heir beliefs but I don't believe I OR YOU are in any position to judge.

    Just cause some priest molested you when you were young and you now hate their fictional God is no reason to be a hatemonger toward all Christians.

    But everybody in the internet HATES religion. From Christianity to Judaism to Islam to Paganism to Buddhism to Taoism to Shintoism to Confucianism to Unitarianism to Hinduism to Local to Tribal to Traditional to Modern and most of all, EVERY SINGLE MOTHERFUCKER IN IT!.

    I personally don't much care for religion. So long as they don't interfere with my life, I don't care what the religious do.

    I myself don't have a problem with religion, in fact think it is a sad thing that more and more people are being Atheistic these days..

    what about you MI? I've always thought that you would be a supporter of religion as a whole.. I was suprised when you included atheism in your list..

    Hitler? Hah! The nazis created church taxes to shut them up, and it worked wonders. It's still there, BTW... -_-

    I'm not talking about christians, but about the Catholic Church. Big difference. The Evangelic Church is perfectly fine.

    Not at all. Oh, and I don't hate christians. Again you seem to think christians = catholics. You're very wrong here. There are the catholic, evangelic, protestant, orthodox and name-it-and-it's-there Churches.

    I came up with it myself, but it is true. According to the Grundgesetz the Catholic Church is an organisation hostile to the german constitution and as such illegal.
    I'm not sure if anyone tries to get them demolished. It's not that easy to go to the Verfassungsgericht...

    I personally don't much care for religion. So long as they don't interfere with my life, I don't care what the religious do.

    Well, it does interfere with my life. I have to pay church taxes...

    Sure am. Everyone working for the Church from priest to bishop to cleaner get's payed from the state. From our tax money.
    Then there's the church taxes they get additionally. Where do you think all the money comes from?
