Fuck, that video was annoying. I really don't know what he's talking about. I for one have never heard anyone label blonde-haired, blue-eyed anime characters as "Japanese" or "Asian". Also, he's missing the important point of anime being fiction and thus being escapism, the point of which is to NOT resemble your surroundings. If you're a Japanese animator in Japan and everybody you see (except for the odd gaijin every now and then) has dark hair and dark eyes, then at some point you're going to use your IMAGINATION to ESCAPE from the reality, and you're gonna want to draw characters that don't look like everyone around you. Also, some Japanese dye their hair different colors and get contact lenses in non-Japanese colors. Yeah, it's fake, but it exists and anime characters could be reasonably based off of THOSE Japanese. In a nutshell: this guy's argument is weak, annoying, and can easily be shat upon by thinking rationally.

Nothing more pathetic than watching a gay guy 'vent'...about anything. It's an obvious joke about drawing all Anime people to look Japanese. The whole reason you have Green, Pink, Blue hair and who knows what color eyes is clearly the artistic style. It's so you can tell them apart and because it's a drawing you make color choices for artistic purposes.
