And then, instead of getting a list of topics I've started. I get this.
I clearly didn't start that many topics and some of them are news articles.It's actually been this way for awhile. I just haven't said anything about it until now.

Maybe the redirect problem is from my side. I got redirected again. Usually happens when I open a whole bunch of tabs on the channel. This time I got a nasty spyware. Here's where I got redirected to but don't click on it. http://i--u.cn/?wm=70347

I'm going to fiddle a little bit more with the source of those network ads (which should be clean), but failing that I will likely have to terminate them.

The profile pages will be completely overhauled into something vastly more extensive soon, so there is no point fiddling before then.

I hope one part of that major overhauling doesn't involve getting rid of the user activity section because I find it rather useful.

If your taking suggestions on the forum, would it be possible to add a pm system? Right now the only way to have a private conversation is to use irc, and not everyone uses it or are on at the same time.

PM system will be incoming. But don't worry, nothing will be forced on users and I am keen to prevent the design turning into some cluttered vbb nightmare strewn with animated gifs and huge signatures.

Not sure how it works though. I always leave it off so I don't ever have to see signatures. Or you can just leave out signatures from the upgrade entirely.

It seems that once someone (evades) the required size, makes, and posts a large animated Sig or avatar, it (never fails) that (others) try to outdo the other(s) in size, as well as, in order to be the coolest and (obviously) its for attention.
But, its a good thing to know, that a PM system is going to be in place in the future... that in itself would be a ~ HUGE PLUS ~ in my book!

I don't know...I kinda like that all the 'dirty laundry' comes out in the forums. I don't wanna do 'battle' with Blitz & Alessa in PM. I want to publicly trash them- lol. Now alot of skirmishes will be in Private- lol. Which will lead to people starting threads with 'Copy & Pastes' of private messages (that were meant to be private) saying "Look what this asshole sent me"- lol.
I obviously can't stop Artefact from doing PM but I've notice from other forums that have a PM system that when I 'Do My Biz' (my "Stirring the Pot" and verbal Hazing ect) people come out of the word work to 'cheer me on' or tell how funny or brutal I was to 'so & so' and they always end with...."But don't tell anyone I wrote this" and stuff and they do it in PM! My thoughts were - OH, you can 'cheer me on' but you don't want people to know you really think they're shit- lol.
Seriously, people would make requests and ask me to "Go After so & so" on a board cause people didn't like them or know how to deal with me. Playboy models would MySpace me and feed me 'personal info' on girls that dissed them (or were rivals) at a Hefner party and ask me to trash them on The PB Cyber-Club board. Ask me to rally my followers to Vote for 'Girl X' in the polls for Cyber-Girl...it was always in PM!! In secret...toke some of the 'Public whipping' away.
***Sorry ARTEFACT!- I was just explaining in more 'detail' why I'm not in love with the idea of PM on Sancom. It's gonna let people form little 'cliques' and lead to the private exchange of stuff more 'explicit' than Loli-Spam. Are you sure you want to give the players here more 'places to hide' their deviousness? Under the cover of something YOU helped create? Will have the ability to read our PM's? I would mind if you read mine (I wouldn't have anything to hide....but others here?).
You and I are adults (we're educated folk) some of these people here, I wouldn't trust to handle my french fries- lol. How many hours before you start getting complaints that "User X" is harrassing "User Y" with PM?- lol. I like that people have to use the forums to fight with each other...out in the open. No Hiding!
