Still need to finish it entirely, but I am loving it so far. Definitely my favorite PS3 game to date.

Well I'm hoping to watch this anime soon enough, but still have no idea about the game though. Does look interesting and fun to play but I could not afford to buy a next-gen console yet. So like, any fabsubs for Valkryia yet?

I'm going to be missing the anime, by right of Artefact's review for the game. I stand to be corrected, but I just don't see it happening.
Also, fansubs: yes. Search the usual channels.

The show is already out? I completely forgot. I will have to look into that a little later.

Nice to see other Valkyria Chronicles fans on the net.I'm really surprised that the game didn't sell well. Since I love Tactical RPG:s (Disgaea) I was really overjoyed how they've managed to take the tactical fighting one step further.
But all great games always have some small issue. Does anyone else have the problem that you can't run past a friendly soldier in a narrow passage? And the tank can be a pain to steer sometimes.
My preferred class is sniper. I love the ability to take anyone out with a single head-shot.
Does anyone know the status for the DLC:s. I read about them at http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2008/06/26/valkyria-chronicles-gets-downloadable-episode-new-mode/.
Are the DLC:s released in Japan? Will they come to EU and US, and when?In the last two months the DLC has finally been announced, though I guess you have heard already:

The anime is a good adaptation, I had a lot of fun watching the first episode, it was refreshing to see gaps in the story filled in and it being told from a different point of view. The characters look much better in motion too and I enjoyed the OP.
Is it me or have the voice actors changed for some of the characters?

Alicia didn't look exactly the same which for whatever reason bothered me, but you can tell they're trying to keep the same kind of style. I can't wait to see Selvaria just decimate whole squads lol. I'm looking forward to the dlc too.

I've watched both episodes of the anime so far and I enjoyed. But then again, I tend to like this sort of fare.
I told Artefact that I don't really write much about anime on Sankaku Complex largely because my tastes tend to run to Shoujo stuff. Not to say that Sankaku Complex doesn't cover a wide a variety of genres, just that article reviews probably wouldn't hold much interest. It's more interesting to highlight Queen's Blade's excessive oppai or the moe aspects of K-On!

I loved that the shading style the game used is still there in the anime. As I feared, Alicia does indeed have the occasional Asread-like moments in her eye spacing, but other than that, quite nice. The storyline is awesome, and the overall presentation makes me think of Last Exile, if it were based around the old Phantasy Star games' character archetypes instead of Final Fantasy's.
Like I said before, it's nice that the female lead isn't a complete moeblob (I love this word so much), which was pleasant, can get overdone quite quickly. After Lucky Star, Index, and now K-On!, I'm quite happy to get a change.
I still need to play the game, though. I think the characters look better in it.

I noticed Alicia's eyes too. It's worse when they draw her trying to be sarcastic or cynical. And I'm also quite tired of moeblobs as well.
I'm looking forward to how the anime will portray some the tactical aspects of the game.

So, the 3 Valkyria Chronicles DLC packs were just released on the European and North American stores yesterday. I cannot express my joy hard enough. Who else plans on buying them? £3.19 each in Europe and $4.99 each in NA.

The Game was addictive as HELL, but the Anime sucked like hell for me.

The game is awesome but I wish they would have made the sequel for the PS3 instead of the PSP.
