I seem to cry easily at works of fiction. Most of the anime series (the movies not so much) based on Key games (Kanon, Air, Clannad) have caused me to shed tears towards the end, as has Fruits Basket and even (egads) Sailor Moon. The final chapters of the Love Hina manga I had difficulty reading due to the watery film constantly blurring my vision - though those might have been tears of despair, since I read them two hours before my A2 level maths exams which I had yet to start revising for. Still, I was pretty sad it was over, as it had been the first manga I'd read, and both it and its animation had been a good companion for three years.
I can't remember any text-only book stimulating my lachrymal glands this way, though I am fairly sure there must have been some. Nor do I think I've cried at a piece of music on its own, though I get plenty of goosebumps hearing LIA sing Aozora (青空) from the AIR soundtrack, and get moved pretty damn close to tears remembering the associated scene. A-no-u-mi-,do-ko-ma-de-mo- ;____; ...
The only Western TV series I remember crying at was ER - does the name Lucy Knight ring a bell for anyone? I don't remember watching any tear-inducing Hollywood movies, though again I'm fairly certain there must have been some. Many have recommended Requiem for a Dream to trigger bouts of clinical depression lasting a few days, but I have yet to watch it.
