I can see getting upset about it, especially if it was a limited release figure. Though I would never place any expensive figures where they could get knocked down easily.

I wouldn't be so sure about it being fake. You rarely see otaku stories on there.
I wouldn't care, because accidents happen and figures can be replaced. Getting laid by someone you like can't exactly be bought back in a lot of cases.

The only difference is that you get to sadistically laugh at other peoples' expenses or feel good that you're not in their place. You can even tell them how much they deserve it.

Interesting. I hear a lot of cases of women turning down men in the middle of sex. But unfortunately not as many cases of men turning down women.
I think a lot of men would be too scared to mention cases of such a thing happening, for fear of people challenging their OH SO IMPORTANT masculinity. Like it's a man's job to be as slutty as possible.
I'm sorry, but if this is the type of article..blog..thing..is to be making fun of otaku, where's the stereotype of him being SINGLE? Most people on the internets talk of otaku guys as "not able to get laid". Much less able to turn it down over something petty and make someone sad.

You greatly overestimate the worth of a woman. You can always get another but not of a limited edition figure.
He should probably have had his figures packed up and out of the way if it were possible. Otherwise they should have had sex somewhere else like her place. It is never indicated whether the figure was destroyed or severely damaged. I am getting a strong hunch he was guilt tripped by her to have sex in his room. Sort of a test of acceptance all girls like to put their lovers through. I'm getting a weaker hunch that he was using his room full of figurines and other anime paraphernalia to fulfill an otaku sexual fantasy of making love to an animu.
