Newly wealthy Chinese have been doing this for centuries now, parking money in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc... they depend on common-law countries to protect their questionable assets.

If they know the writing is on the wall then they're very foolish to be pissing away their money like that.
On a side note maybe we should tax this demographic aka rich foreigners a lot more since they apparently can afford to blow their money like that.

It's crass, but their spending habits do benefit those of us who didn't cheat to get our blue passports...
