This is more of an "I told you so" than an Actual "Gantz rant" (@trademark Gantz Rant) - I told you so in the sense that I often warned you of the tactics & propaganda used by 'Conflict Theorists' in the Culture War for popular opinion.
#GamerGate blew up in the faces of the people that are part of Media Monopoly of Opinion makers. They thought they were safe. They thought that being in their little "Cool Clique" would protect them from scrutiny, accountability, or responsible journalism. I lamented long & hard here about the Evils of "secret kabals of Group Think" & propaganda campaigns often by the Leftist side of the Media (Can IT!- we know the Right has a version probably as Well- spare me your 'Yellow Brick Road')- I have ALWAYS been concerned with BIAS & abuse of Power (even on Sankaku). Finally it seems #GamerGate is the straw that is breaking the PC-Loving Social-Justice pushing Passive-Aggressive Back of a 'certain type' of journalism. I am NO WAY involved in this fiasco but I'm a tad stunned that it's not a bigger deal here.
The Bottom-Line is- The Corruption in Gaming Journalism (there is in EVERY type is there not?) and the Peasants actually "revolted" & citizen voices & bloggers started digging up shit & asking questions and ALL the sudden- the "Cool Kids" were caught & started firing back with their "weapons of Control" and that only made it WORSE because it showed how inter-connected & protected all these smaller "links in the chain" really were. I.E. when 20 Gaming Journalist start a lynch mob to attack One Person or Subject with virtually Identical arguments that was all TRUE Truth Seekers needed to see the pattern and in true "Disclosure Fashion"- It became an Information & Dirty Secret war. The System Tried to Attack but there were TOO Many Conscious voices "Not Plugged Into The Matrix" that started waking up more people.
It's been 2 months now- #GamerGate isn't going away it's only asking more questions. A specific band of Rebels are seeking out advertisers & calling out ALL the sites that once housed & protected this "elite jorno crowd"- The GamerGate crowd don't want Free Stuff or apologies or pats on the back- They want CLEAN UP! Over-sight & Accountability- They are tired of being told about their Industry by corrupt Shills. If this "Revolution" sounds familiar to Americans It SHOULD! They don't want to be the Sheep or The Herder - They just want to play games in a robust industry without a political bias manipulating things behind the scenes. Go to Twitter w/ hashtag #GamerGate and it's ALL there Unfiltered. I personally recommend: InternetAristocrat @Int_Aristocrat , KingofPol @Kingofpol & Milo Yiannopoulos @Nero as my personal favs- They seem to be cititzen journalists leading the charge.
My Disclosure- I am Pro-GamerGate. I actually suck at most games. I am only good at Fighting Games (like MK, Tekken, Soul Calibur,ect). I am not a gaming journalist but simply a Media Analyst.

Lastly - I want to address the PINK elephant - the whole sub-plot to this is that Social Justice warriors have been exposed for meddling in an industry they seemingly have no business in. You know the type. Hell, I was practically lynched by a few HERE (but, I persevered didn't I). It's taken THIS long for the 'common folk' to realize the propaganda & tactics used by the "Politically Correct" Social-Justice Types who say- You either agree w/ me or You're a: rascist, Hater, Bigot, Homophobe, ect - Now we have a Media that does it on Que if you fit their "Narrative" - you've seen it.
I oddly experienced attacks from female haters for my viewers when I was learning about Anime around 2003-04 - it wasn't till I discovered Sankaku that I discovered what kind of Anime fan I was & it was at the birth of "K-On!" & just as CrunchyRoll & Fan-Subbed Anime was beginning to hit it's stride- Sankaku for all it's faults taught me to appreciate the Anime World beyond the sanitized confines of American Dub purists & the Adult Swim crowd...It made me a better person & fan. Maybe someday Anime will have it's own "GamerGate"? or Revolution - I always wanted This place to be Ground Zero for such a thing....but nah, you're all just a lazy bunch of perverts with too much free time on your hands.
