I never started out to have so many avatars.
I thought I should have one, so I found an image I liked and used that.
As time went on, though, I started to think about the pictures I came across and ask myself "Would that make a good avatar?"
Now I have almost 130. Below is a screencap of the most recent from the last 4-6 months.

What I look for most in an image is a good expression, although it doesn't have to be a particular type of expression. I also like the person in the image to be looking at the viewer, or, to be looking at the post.
If I don't use the image below, I know there's a member who might use it. The side view of the young woman is similar to ones they've used before. It's from the Korean movie My Scary Girl 달콤，살벌한 연인 (My Sweet, Yet Brutal Sweetheart)(2006).
