Here is my make-up free face and my three shoe choices for Saturday night. I will be surprising my gay friend by arriving to Stockholm for his Birthday and so I can't ask him so...
Vote for your favorite pair of shoes.
Pair 1: J.C. Never used them. I am leaning toward them but I am unsure if they fit with the dress or not.
Hmm... They are brand new and I haven't sprayed them with protective spray (they're mocca)... ...Hmm....
Pair 2: Black Mary Janes with platform. Safe choice. I know they are comfy and they are tall enough to make me look ... less short. But my friend hates them.
Pair 3: Gray mocca shoes, low heel and the "safe choice". Not too convinced of these, actually.

I wouldn't. Youre wearing all black so you might as well go with the second pair. Mostly because the other two make your legs look exceptionally short because of the black tights you have under them. Without the tights and then the third pair might work, but with the all black outfit, anything, but the black pair is unflattering.

It'd have to be #2, because, like was said, otherwise your legs look really short. Partly because of the cut of the dress (dresses that length always make people look stubby, to me), and because black is generally a "heavier" color that you end with; going from black to a "lighter" color at the bottom will generally look chunky and off-balance.

Its not the dress that makes her look chunky. Its the added tights. The dress, enough as is, covers up most of her upper body. There isn't even any attempt to show a chest which, in turn, already blocks the entire upper body off. To add the tights is a huge mistake because it doesn't camouflage anything you are trying to hide, it is making your body look exceptionally unappealing and to add a light colored shoe at the bottom after all the black makes you look stalky and large. Get rid of the tights completely. You dont need them. Heels/wedges are meant to lift the butt and make the legs look longer. The black heels only work because they blend with the black tights, but even those, looking closer, only make you look not 'sexy' as well.
Youre better off with no tights and then whatever shoes you want. That or choose a dress that doesn't cover everything up. You dont need your arms, mid thighs, AND chest area blocked off. It isn't appealing unless you are showing some skin somewhere which, you arent.
Edit: Also...Just noticed the black heels have straps... Bebe... Yeah... Dont even wear those either. Straps like those cut off your legs even without tights. The only people I know who wear shoes with straps are lolitas, little girls, and bridesmaids forced at weddings.

It gives the illusion of the legs starting below the crotch when they're color matched like that (at least that's how I always see it when I see people wearing things like that). If there is contrast this doesn't happen.

Gaiz, you forget that I took the pictures with various VERY different angles. The J.C.'s don't look as bad IRL.
In any case, I'll go with them. But the thights thing is very true and I will see if I can find skin-colored tights tomorrow. Can't go without because... It's fucking cold outside and you never know how long you're gonna be out waiting for the bus when you don't have a car. :V
...Still not completely convinced. In Stockholm I have the rest of my shoes and I will see if there's anything else I can use instead.
@Ichi; Heeeh yeah my friend hates the black ones. But they are tall and extremely fucking comfy.
