I've heard good things about methiopropamine (it's legal and very very cheap where I live). Apparently it works for concentration, but doesn't have the same extreme stimulant effects that amphetamines have.
I'm considering using it as a study drug. Will buy 1g and give it a try for a while.

The Lancet did a meta-study on a broader range of harms and came up with slightly different results. I honestly can't take seriously a study that labels LSD as mildly addictive when most users are still able to count the number of times they've used it. Psychedelics are things that you only want to take sparingly.

1: Because laws (whether things are legal or illegal in the US and what class they're put in in the UK) are based on opinion, not fact. Even when differentiating amongst drugs that are illegal, both the general populace and politicians can be completely wrong. One of the most annoying things is the belief that "cannabis = soft, everything else = hard", because drugs get classified as hard or soft according to how many people take them and how "interesting" the intended effects are, not on how much harm is actually caused.
2: You also have to consider that your government classifies drugs according to potential medical use. Very dangerous drugs may have potential medical uses, and relatively safe ones may have only recreational uses.
Unlike our classification, it's not supposed to be a measure of how "bad" a drug is.
It's worse in Britain. Shrooms (which grow naturally everywhere and are apparently the least harmful drug of all) are Class A, whereas amphetamines are Class B. Alcohol, the most harmful drug, is legal.
