Betcha there was a lot of cleaning done in the closet. Won't be surprised if NicoNico had to remove lots of Junior Idol clips (the ones made by Shinko-sha and Candydoll) before opening themselves up to the world by debuting the English edition...

BTW folks I when I said English niconico I referring to douga aka http://www.nicovideo.jp not http://www.niconico.com.
I really couldn't figure out what was so funny at first but I guess I wasn't that clear.

They do seem to be fully merging the database .jp -> .com
There are options at the bottom of nicovideo.jp to change from English to Japanese (both language and filter options).
I have no idea if niconico.com will have those options or if it will share an identical interface to nicovideo.jp If it doesn't it will still be a useless PoS.

Yeh, Im meaning the Japanese one. So everything goes English, I was thinking they did add a function for Japanese user to have Japanese Interface or to switch around?.

The language and filter (region) options seem to be at the bottom of the page for nicovideo.jp
Changing your region options to JP does seem to allow you to filter by Japanese comments again.

I already see those on youtube and that pretty much describes maybe good percentage of videos featuring non loli touhou characters like Yukari and Kanako.
