  1. Holy fuck the Spice & Wolf Shield is annoying. First there's the stupid rooster comb of a loaded chamber indicator. And to field strip it, you have to rotate down the sear deactivation lever inside the gun. You could skip that and just pull the trigger while removing the slide IF IT DIDN'T HAVE A MAGAZINE DISCONNECT!

    Fuck that noise.
    Fuck the roster.
    Fuck DPRK.
Appendix carry, ghost guns, and Sigs for life.

I have a friend who carries the free-state version, and he gets annoyed about that step in field stripping it as well. Also, one of his mags really liked misfeeding until the spring was worn in.

I bought a shotgun this evening. It is unfortunately still in the trunk of my car. And I'm hearing loud rap music and shouting outside...

Just go to your car, pop the trunk, then rack the slide.

At least the CA version doesn't have the "CAUTION: CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED". :^)

Openly carrying long guns is perfectly legal in my state, though not widely practiced. But pulling a Kalashnikov's charging handle in public would be inadvisable even here.

I didn't notice that caution on my friend's. My PX4 Storm had that warning on it, IIRC.

Did you get a shield as a carry piece? I'm not a fan of its mechanics, though the ergonomics are hard to beat.

  5. It's my sister's. If I could, I'd get a PPS.

  10. So I went to the range today to break in my .308. Thing didn't want to cycle properly for about 30 rounds before finally going through 20 without a hitch. This was with both pmag 20s and 10s. And this was with the original BCG that it came with. I stick in the Titanium Nitride BCG I got for it, same issue. I haven't put enough rounds through it to break it in yet. I remember it took about 100 rounds for that same type BCG to function flawlessly in my 5.56, so I've got a few more mags to go through before the 3rd-game version of the raifu is as sweet to shoot as the 2nd-game version. :3

Combination of PPU 145gr FMJ and Federal 149gr FMJ. Never had a problem with the .223/5.56 equivalents, and I've shot the PPU stuff through the range's .308s with zero issues. It's most likely just the break-in period for the bolts.
