The pitfalls of not differentiating Associates and Bachelors...

a 2 year community college is the least what everyone should go for. Only carrying high school degree puts you in severe disadvantage in the job market

An associate's degree only indicates that you were taught a skill that someone who wasn't a high school dropout should have after working for 2 or 3 years in a specific field. A bachelor's degree is worthless unless it's in some sort of engineering, and most of those people go for master's degrees anyway. To me, having a high school diploma is still worth something considering how many drop out and don't even bother trying to get even a GED: it proves you are willing to endure a few years of BS. After that, most doors in the job market that don't require a master's or above are doors that can be opened.

Still a Bullshit argument - I got pay so you can have "Fancy Meals"? Goto a friggin' produce market and buy fresh. Hell, make a garden in the back yard - Why is it always someone else's problem.

    Dude...

Lunch meat & bread, cereal, Peanut Butter & Jelly. Pasta, Macaroni & Cheese, Bacon & eggs. (Organic even). Perdue Chicken fillets. Canned vegatables - these are simple foods that will not KILL YOU.

I teased a MFC model today because she loves eating "Frozen Dinners" (like Hungry Man) - I haven't eating that crap in over 10 years. I grew up on it. Why because my Dad was Lazy. I only ate "home cooked" meals at my Mom's or family functions. I survived.

I can eat WHATEVER I want - you know what I choose:

Wendys, Pizza, Chinese Food, Pub lunches, Hamburgers, Ramen, Tuna fish, cereal, ice cream, mash potatoes - all made fresh by ME or the place I order it.

I haven't eaten FROZEN anything in years. It's CHOICE! somedays I pay $10 to eat for the day others it's only $2 - For the WHOLE DAY!

You could eat generic "normal food" like the rest of us OK Rockafeller. Better learn how to econimize your food fast - when Romney wins ALL those Freebies will be "Harder" to achieve...but maybe prices & the economy will be better by that point.

Fresh produce actually is more expensive then shit like mac and cheese and Ramen.

BTW there's nothing wrong with frozen veggies it's canned stuff that looses it's nutrition.
But canned is cheap requires no freezer space but they are kinda tasteless.
As for a garden good luck with that if you live in an apartment Marie Antoinette.
It also can be hit and miss some years you get such a good yield you're giving vegetables away to friends and family away other times you loose almost everything.

I usually plant a garden every year so I'm very familiar with this.
For example this year I lost my entire cucumber and melon crop and had to settle for the tasteless things in the produce isle at the super market.

Also don't call me Rockefeller even though I'm not poor now I not rich either.

Dude - this is sooo True. I've got interns that now WALK into higher end State school after transferring from Community Colleges.

One guy was a former gas attendant who just smoked weed all day - He made so little money that he got grants & stuff (because his parents couldn't claim him cause he lived on his own)

He got lower than 600 on his SAT's (so he says) guy doesn't even know Algebra! YET- He got A's & B's in community college & walked into a State School - he interned as part of his Advertising & Graphic Design requirement?

He always had the same Hoodie on & was like a Zen monk. He asked MY supervisor to transfer him to another group because the college kids he was forced to work with were TOO Stupid & Complained about every task they were given. I sat in on a discussion about how we need to "control our interns" as I used to have them assemble my kits & materials before I got own accounts.

This guy was NOT a silver spoon kid but he was a fighter. He relished the new challenges. He said he used to smoke weed to forget the world he was forced to live in - He got a job to pay for the weed & live on his own - which led him to discover his own path, values, & goals. He then GOT INSPIRED to be MORE than just a 'That Guy'.

Now he designs websites - probably still smokes weed but it's on HIS Terms!- lol. He looked like "Occupy" but he was smart guy, he knew how to market himself and what he was worth. The moment some snotty rich kids closed in on him- He used the "power structure" of the job to prove his worth FIX His 'Station'- He went from "victim" to "In Control" of his situation in 1 afternoon...and this was guy whose only mission in life was to escape his parents, play video games, & smoke weed.

Victims vrs People who Take Responsibility for their Situation!!

Dude - where do you go? What are you buying? Walmart's got FRESH stuff on the cheap all day. 1 day my girl bought like 4 things of strawberries for like $1 each? Banana's $1.50 Head of lettuce .80 cents? A bag of Potatoes? what's cost? I know personally that sweet potato Yam's are like 12 cents a pound FRESH in November at Walmart. Same thing with Cabbage during the holidays.

Seriously that "Great Value" generic stuff is fine!

Tomatoes I knows are expensive! Dude- have you ever gone to a "Farmers Market?" - I live in New Jersey so maybe it's too easy here?

I'm strangely tickled by how angry you are that you were FORCED to not buy fancy-shmancy "WHOLE Foods" because times got tight. I can't imagine being held hostage to "Name Brand" desires - especially since I know the difference between Home-Cooked & Frozen food that's 'left for me'.

I have chosen the Middle Path- Fresh economically cheap "Junk" that is prepared by others - lol. Or sandwiches, lunch meat, & cereal. FOOD is Food.

You can have a garden in your Apartment BTW just get some boxes of dirt & some Ultraviolet lamps & ventilation. You can do MANY things in an Apartment.

  6. I will NOT vote for Obama.

All I say is who ever the next president is, would most likely have to deal with possible war with Iran, who has allies with Russia and China and can escalate to a WWIII.

Also was doing some reading and found about National Defense Authorization Act, that is some fucked up shit. Also the NSA building a $2 billion spying facility in Utah, fuck that!

This is probably the stupidest thing I ever read.

Russia and China do not give two fucks about Iran outside of the fact it is currently annoying the USA.

Russia is in no position to try and pick a fight with the US and China is not that stupid. The second the UN/US/NATO declared war on Iran, both Russia and China would walk away.

Iran has no local friends either.

The only reason Iran has not been flattened is that it would be the third war in a short period and I think everyone really wants to see just how the last two are going to turn out (the aftermath and who gets control of the countries).

To replace their aging 1 billion dollar one.
